Pros: ATM's everywhere you look and accounts easy to access online. Cons: Their people don't seem to communicate to each other much, high fees.
The lure of easy access to free ATM's, and the fact my husband had banked there for years drew me in to opening 3 accounts with US Bank. One for paying bills, and two savings accounts; one for each of my two children.
The online link up...

Pros: Variety of services, convenient Cons: Some services come with a price
Back in 1990, when I went to college in Portland, my cousins helped me settle in and helped me get a checking and savings account at U.S. Bank. In the four years that I was there, I didn't have any major problems.
I had a student checking...

Pros: Good customer service, easy and convenient accounts. Cons: Fewer ATM locations than I'd like
I've banked with several of the majors and a few of the minors. I of course have a horror story from Bank of America and Wells Fargo, but then, who doesn't? US Bank suits my needs just fine.
I hold a Certificate, a savings account and a...

Pros: None Cons: Many
Last July, while paying my bills, I noticed a return to sender letter from a bank that loaned me monoey for a car four years before. This letter contained my payment to Metropolitan Federal Bank, located in Fargo, ND, for the month of July 1999. I...

Pros: Friendly...until they make a mistake Cons: They robbed my daughter of part of her savings.
I have always impressed the value of money on my daughters, so when my eldest had saved over $300.00 I took her down to the local USbank nearby.
It was a memorable experience to watch her open up her first savings account. She was so proud...

Pros: They are everywhere Cons: Increasingly restrictive and inefficient
Since US Bank bought out my old bank several years ago I have experienced a gross increase in restrictions to my accounting while the customer service has slipped.
I found my minimum balance raised by hundreds of dollars while the...

Pros: The bank can be found in supermarkets Cons: Sometimes it hard to actually find a human being
My experience with US Bank has been mixed, mostly toward the negative end of the spectrum. The problems that I have encountered seem to be focused on two areas, the personnel at the local level and the 1-800 phone number.
Trying to find...

Pros: More than one branch in my area Cons: High fees, poor customer service
I banked with US Bank for about 8 years. Why I stayed that long? Fear of moving to a new bank I guess. In that time the service I received grew poorer and poorer. Deposits took forever to post, even the Direct Deposits. Becuase of that, checks did not...

Pros: Its just down the street Cons: Everything else about it.
My husband and I joined this bank 1 month ago, and it is terrible. We want to quit, but we CANT! They will not give us OUR money! We have had NOTHING but trouble with this bank, and we can get no answers from the workers.
When we first joined...

Pros: Options, availability, service Cons: MY bank...
I'm not sure if I would recommend this bank and service or not. I happen to hate my bank. The service is terrible, and their service personnel are incompetent.
But...I do appreciate USBank. I love the online banking. Online Billpay is an...

Pros: customer service Cons: high service charges
Today October 4, 2000 US bank announced a merger with Firstar Banks both based in Minnesota. I find it a bizarre decision being that one Grundhoffer brother runs Firstar and the other Grundhoffer brother(Jack)runs US Bank. Talk about conflict of...

Pros: Debit card with cashback option Cons: Charges for Online bill payment, only 50 free checks
This is the first check card / Debit card that pays upto 1% of purchases made using the Debit card (using credit option. We don't get cash back, if we use PIN for purchases). I had used cashback credit cards like Visa and heard about Discover and...

Pros: lots of money to lend and they don't have a clue how to lend money! Cons: about 30 epinions bash this bank up and down for various reasons!
I have been working in the mortgage industry for years. During this time I have been involved with numerous transactions involving U.S. Bank locations throughout Colorado. My impression? U.S. Bank has some of the best and a lot of the worst a bank has...
