Pros: Direct Deposit Advance Feature
Located very conveniently Cons: Poor customer service
Failure to take responsibility
No customer loyalty
I have to share my Wells Fargo banking experience with all, so you can see how they treat long time customers. I opened my very first bank account with Wells Fargo when I was 17 just out of High School. I loved that they were every where, it was very ...

Pros: Easy to use online banking.
Deposits show up quickly in your account.
Friendly customer service. Cons: Need a branch in my own town :)
I'm so happy with my Wells Fargo banking that I searched for a place to share my experience! I'm probably going to sound like a bank employee when I say this but Wells Fargo is the best bank I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I live in a ...

Pros: They have a Good website. Cons: Questionable practices, unapologetic.
I had gone to Wells Fargo for a home mortgage years back, because the person who was the finance officer at Wells used to work at a previous bank I had a mortgage through. At the time, the rates were middle road, nothing great, but not robbery. At ...

Pros: Abundance of ATM locations. Cons: Poor customer service. Unprofessional and incompetent bankers. Putting customers at ID theft risks.
I was a Wells' customer for about one year. The branch I opened my account with was reasonbably professional. However, I noticed the quality of personnel at Wells is not consistent. Some branches like ones in Monrovia and Arcadia, California were worse ...

Pros: Lots of locations in Midwest, good customer service Cons: Too expensive, too many fees, too long to solve bank errors
I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for over 8 years. For the most part, I'd say their customer service is pretty good, although the time frames to solve problems that are the fault of the bank are horrendously long. I worked in the Phone bank, on ...

Pros: It is fairly easy to get an entry-level customer service rep on the phone. Cons: Referral to the FBI for wrongful accusation of fraud. Poor upper level customer service.
Wells Fargo held the mortgage on my home, and I had no complaints with their service during the 18 months I had the mortgage with them. The problems began when I sold the home and attempted to pay off my loan. My home was sold on 9/28/06 and a payoff ...

Pros: No apparent advantages over other banks Cons: Inept staff, poor math skills
Last year, my father rolled over his 401k into a Wells Fargo IRA CD. For some reason, Wells Fargo put it into a regular CD yet did not withhold tax. When he went back to the branch to notify them, the person that he opened it with told him to simply pay ...

Pros: Good web banking, many account choices, lots of help available via e-mail Cons: branches in my area are few and far between, $2.00 per phone call
Sometimes I feel alone in having anything good to say about Wells Fargo, but then I have had so many bad experiences with other banks, such as NationsBank, who got bought out by Bank of America while still owing me $67. Maybe my basis of comparison ...

Pros: no fees Cons: limited locations
I have noticed and heard alot of negative feedback regarding Wells Fargo but I must say (even if I am the sole dissenting vote!) that they have been very good to me. I have been a faithful customer since 1997 and have held several accounts and loans...

Pros: None except - material for homilies and I intend to warn the public Cons: Horrible customer service; incompetent employees; rude and offensive employees -- a very bad company
I am the pastor of two Catholic Parishes and unfortunately my predecessors had the bulk of the parishes' bank accounts with Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo has the tax ID numbers mixed up between the two separate parishes; they have the accounts named wrong and ...

Pros: Great Service, Great Rewards, Great Website, No Banking Fees Cons: Large Overdraft fees (unless you have OD protection)
I have been a Wells Fargo customer for 3 years. I have been very happy with them.
The tellers at my local bank are friendly and remember my name. When they see a way to make my banking more efficient, they suggest it. For example: I use direct...

Pros: works great when it works Cons: impossible to straighten out problems
I have been banking by computer for over 2 years, and everything was fine, both with Norwest, and now with Wells Fargo who took over Norwest.
As part of the conversion from Norwest to WF, I was instructed to cancel all my existing payments,...

Pros: Superb online banking, courteous employees. Cons: Horrible procedure practices, clueless employees, high fees
I opened up a college checking account at Wells Fargo in early 2007. The staff at the branch, actually almost every branch I have been too, was extremely courteous. They gladly opened my account using $250 worth of coins. The process was painfully long, ...

Pros: Convenience, Prices Cons: Lousy interest rates
This may be the only review on epinions.com which has nothing nasty to say about a financial services organization!
I opened my checking account at Wells Fargo back in 1991 and have been banking there ever since. I don't pay any fees--I have...
