Pros: A clever idea, if only they let me use it. Cons: Inscrutable rejection criteria.
I think PayPal is a really great idea. Unfortunately, they don't seem to feel the same about the idea of me using their service. I recently tried to sign up, and when I attempted to enter my Visa credit card, they rejected it as "not matching my...

Pros: Fast, secure, a snap to use, reliable, extremely useful Cons: Make a wrong move and they WILL get medieval on your a$$, take your money, and make you grovel before them to get it back
As I start writing this review, I’m reminded of a popular joke:
What if operating systems were airlines?
Windows Airlines: The terminal is very neat and clean, the attendants are all very attractive and the pilots very...

Pros: Fast, convenient, easy Cons: Beware the fine print
I've used Paypal now for approximately 5 years, ever since I was laid off the first time around and decided to use eBay in conjunction with Paypal to keep myself afloat financially. In the beginning, everything was great. The transactions were ...

Pros: Can be a convenient way to transfer funds online--eBay payments, etc... Cons: If you need to change address or other info, it's a real pain
Can I USE "shebang" on Epinions? Hunh. We'll find out, I suppose.
I haven't tried to use the admittedly impressive broad number of features that PayPal offers; I've only used it to send and receive eBay payments. Even at this shallowest...

Pros: Safe, reliable, no charge, convenient electronic funds transfer Cons: Delay to increase limits above $200. $1000 max limit on referrals!
Pay pal is a revolutionary service that allows you to electronically transfer funds from one person to another via e-mail OR between two Palm Pilots (eventually possibly all PDA's). Sounds like something out of Star Wars, "transfer me 3,000...

Pros: fast, easy way to make payments to individuals online. Cons: can't be used to make payments to businesses yet.
When I first saw the little Paypal icons popping up all over Ebay, I was skeptical, to say the least. How can they offer an internet version of Western Union, with no ad banners, and offer it free?
I did a LOT of digging into this site before...

Pros: Free, Easy Cons: None
PayPal is supposed to be an easy way to accept credit card payments via the internet but what it has done is turn my wife into an eBay buying machine. No longer does she have to wait a whole 3 days for a payment to arrive by snail mail. She can get...

Pros: Quick way to send money online Cons: Quick way to spend money online
PayPal is a great idea! I didn't say was - it is a quick, convenient, simple way to transfer money between parties over the internet without giving out credit card or bank account numbers. That is all it was meant to be.
Yes, they...

Pros: Convenient way to send and receive money; referral bonus; Free $5 Cons: You have to do A LOT to get that free $5
Since becoming an Ebay junkie about 2 weeks ago, I have been introduced to several different services where I can get my money from my customers. Ebay even offers a service called BillPoint, but there are fees that go along with it....

Pros: Handy way for US Citizens to send and recieve money on-line Cons: Constant radical policy changes. Unreliable website. Extremely unprofessional company behaviour. High Fees
Several months ago I would never have thought that I would be writing a scathing report on the evils of Paypal. After all, it was proving to be a handy tool which complimented my Ebay business perfectly when the long awaited International service...

Pros: It's FREE; allows you to pay people by credit card Cons: none so far
I found out about PayPal a few weeks ago as I was browsing eBay. I've sold many things on auction sites before, and had never seen PayPal, so I knew it was something new, but I didn't really check it out. I only went to their website after my husband...

Pros: Great for purchases or collecting money from sales. Cons: They freeze your money and make you jump through tedious hoops to reclaim it.
I was recently preparing to go on a trip and the Travel Visa Card I have through All ACCESS says that you can transfer money into your Pay Pal account and then transfer the money to the Visa Travel Card. So I followed their instructions and since I ...

Pros: Everyone has it on EBay making it convenient for sellers/buyers. Cons: Frequent charge backs, buyer scams, no protection, loopholes, no customer service. You'll lose $.
UPDATE - PAYPal again wiggles out of a loop hole in its seller protection program leaving me with a $115 loss on an item. A buyer of an item of mine filed a PAYPal claim against me because he claims he didn't receive a bag he had bought from me worth ...

I was first introduced to PayPal through Ebay. I was high bidder on an auction and the seller sent me the link for his account at PayPal in case I wanted to use a credit card. I am one of those types of people, however, who are extremely leery of any...
