Pros: low commissions, online portfolio, real-time quotes Cons: terrible service, bad muzak
Suretrade has one of the best commission rates around, as long as you aren't placing a limit order or OTC, but those will cost you more at other places as well. The 7.95 rate is great though and even the 9.95 for limit orders isn't bad.

Pros: Cost for Trades, Low Margin Rates, Reliability Cons: Limited Access to IPOs, No DRIP provisions
I have had an active account with Suretrade since March of 1998. The reason I initially chose Suretrade was the commission. I could not see paying $20 or more per trade by using other brokers. The other initial appeal was the no minimum amount to...

Pros: Cheap....but you get what you pay for Cons: Slow site, slow order transactions, maze of a site
Boy did I ever make a mistake. When the online trading revolution took hold of the stock market I jumped on board. Problem is my train is still at the station. Suretrade has go to be one of the worst major online brokerages. I have had my account for...

Pros: Baseline stock reports, Margin interest rates, Stock trading prices, Quick executions, Web site Cons: No after-hours trading, Low end of stock price spread
I have been a very happy customer of Suretrade.com for two years now. There have been some growing pains, but Suretrade's service has continually gotten better for the last couple of years. Their latest site design appears to be a winner. It is very...

Pros: low costs Cons: some speed issues
I've read some bad reviews about Suretrade but I've been an account holder for over two years and have made numerous trades without any of the problems that people have written about. When I first opened an account with Suretrade, there...

Pros: Cheap trades Cons: Poor Service, impatient phone help, slow
I have been using suretrade for the past three months. The longer that I use the company the more problems I experience with them. My problems first started when I filed the suretrade document to have money directly transferred from my checking account...

Pros: prices Cons: service is quite lacking
Suretrade is not known for their service but, there is little service and then there is no real support. There has to be the ability to speak with an actual person, if you are dealing with actual money. I was considering signing on with Suretrade, then...

Pros: Trade Prices are great! Cons: Everything else besides the trade prices!
I was a Sure-Trade member for about 3 months over this past summer. However, I withdrew my account for a couple of reasons. It takes entirely too long for an order to execute through Sure-Trade even when the volume is low. This is intolerable in the fast...

Pros: great for the periodic trader/DRIP plan investor Cons: sluggish at times-not really good for the heavy traders
Suretrade is definitely not for the day trader types, but for me it works
fine. I only buy stocks a couple times a year. They don't require a minimum amount be deposited as some other services do, which makes them perfect for the small trader that...

Pros: professional and practical Cons: not fancy
I have been a member of suretrade since June 1999. I admit that their web site is a bit of a bore, but it gets the job done for me.
I find it easy to trade and keep track of my account. This Christmas I set up a custodial account for my 18 year old...

Pros: Can trade OTC stocks Cons: Price vs. what you get, customer service, server problems
First of all, let me begin by saying my main trading account is with Datek Online. I opened a Suretrade account because I wanted to speculate with an OTC internet grocery stock. The commissions are higher than Datek, so that's one reason I would not use...

Pros: none that I've discovered Cons: Can't log on
I signed up for Suretrade's services over 2 weeks ago. Since that time, I have received an email that I do, indeed, have an account that is active, however, i cannot log on. I have tried on approximately 10 different occasions, different days,...

Pros: Low commissions, fast executions, free access to quality research, no minimum deposit Cons: Poor customer service, slow Web site load time
If you're a seasoned online investor, SURETRADE.COM is the place to be, especially with its low commissions and fast executions. If you're a novice online investor, SURETRADE.COM is not the place to be. Its poor customer service along with its slow Web...

Pros: Cheap, no minimum deposit Cons: Available services needs work
Ameritrade, E-Trade, TD Waterhouse, Suretrade. Suretrade? They don't put out nearly as many commercials as their competitors but they are a good broker for most traders. Market orders are only $7.95 and limit orders are $9.95. This is cheaper than...

Pros: Low cost, helpful customer service, reliable Cons: Slow registration process. A lot of snail mail involved in registering and making payments to your account.
As a beginning investor, I look for 2 major criteria in an online broker: Very low initial investment, and very low trading fees. $7.95 is really about as low as the fees are going to get, and since there's no minimum investment amount, this service...
