Pros: High yields, no fees, free bill pay Cons: None
This is the way to bank! I don't know about you, but if you're anything like me, you hate to go into the bank and probably venture inside once a year at best. It's just so much quicker to do everything electronically. Well, why not do it for free?

Pros: none Cons: They charge ridiculous fees for everything, customer service is inept and unhelpful
This bank claims to offer higher interest rates and better service than brick and mortar banks. The fees they charge more than offset any higher rates ... $25 fee if you close you account in less than 6 months, $3 / month fee if your account is...

Pros: high interest, free everything, a reliable online bill paying, web visibility Cons: No brick and mortar to look at
The advantages of banking with Netbank are many. Every time I receive a
direct deposit check, I write another check to deposit in Netbank. First
of all they pay 6.4% interest on a six-month CD and 6.7% on a one year CD.
My technique is to...

Pros: None so far... Cons: Denied me access to my financially healthy account for 2 weeks and counting...

Beware of Netbank!
by tbg2bhm205 ,Apr 27 '06
Pros: None. Avoid them like the plague. Cons: Bad customer service, excessive dormant fees, poor interest rates, and I got screwed.
I signed up for a promotional account with them a while ago before they started with their fees. My account remained dormant after I moved, (who keeps up with every account statement?) and they failed to send out a change in terms.
The result is that I have been charged $5 a month, their customer service told me that they mailed the statement but it was returned? Why not call me???
I had another account at INGdirect.com and they did not charge an inactivity fee or minimum balance. They are much friendlier on line and actually pay a better interest rate. Avoid these guys unless you want to get screwed!
