Pros: Easy to use, free checks, excellent interest rate Cons: No ATM reimbursement as of 1/1/2001
I have been using NetBank for nearly two years now, and my experience has been extremely positive.
This is the first online bank that I tried, and I continue to use it today. Initially, it was sort of an experiment that I wanted to try to see...

Pros: 24 hr web access, interest on lowest level checking accounts, little or no monthly fees. Cons: Abysmal customer service, slow and cumbersome web-interface, mysterious account statuses.
Like many of Netbank's customers, my accounts were bought out from CompuBank last month. I had been an ecstatically happy CompuBank customer up until May 11th, but my experiences in the last two weeks as a Netbank customer have made me wonder if a move...

Pros: Free checking, online banking, 24/7 customer service Cons: Online banking not real-time, closing fee
NetBank is one of many internet-only banks. They have no branches or ATMs of their own, and thus have much lower overhead than traditional banks. They pass these savings on to their customers in terms of lower fees and higher interest rates.

Pros: no fees, bill payment service, good interest rate on money market and checking Cons: none
I've been banking with Netbank since April 1999 and I love the bill paying service. I mail or direct deposit checks into my account and earn 3% interest on checking. I have a money market account there that earns a little over 5%. Netbank provides you...

Pros: You'll feel brilliant --frustrated but brilliant-- after dealing with NetBank Cons: Everything else.
NetBank by far has the worst customer service of any bank that I have used or worked for and banks are generally known for poor customer service. NetBank agents may as well be outsourced call center representatives who have no idea what is going on in ...

Pros: Internet Bank, a good excuse to buy a speaker phone! Cons: Abysmal customer service, software interface and facilities inferior to CompuBank
I was a very satisfied CompuBank customer. They had improved the products and services over the 18 months I had been a customer. For instance a few months before the NetBank takeover they introduced an excellent free push/pull direct transfer process to...

Pros: None Cons: Hidden Fees, deceptive business practices, poor customer service
OverView
NetBank is the worse financial institution I've ever dealt with in my twenty-five years of dealing with financial institutions. They are very deceptive and not forthcoming about their well-hidden fees and policies. We're in the...

Pros: high interest rates, secure interface, handle complaints reasonably Cons: slow to transfer between accounts at times
A couple of weeks ago, I logged into my NetBank account and discovered a mysterious $5 fee. I wrote an e-mail through the bank-mail system and then scoured the NetBank site for a fee schedule. It took me quite a while to find. There were a few $5 fees...

Pros: Excellent Products Cons: Customer service needs work
I first heard about Netbank in Money Magazine, where I was surprised by their high interest rates. After inspection of their web material, I decided to open a checking account. I had some trouble accessing my account information at first, but I...

Pros: high interest rates, no fees, free checks, unlimited online bill pay Cons: don't rebate ATM fees, don't access prior account info for new account
When you have a "regular" bank savings account paying a measly 1.5% interest, and the same bank only offers money market accounts with high minimum deposits and not much higher interest rates, it makes sense to check out the Internet banks for...

Pros: none Cons: No access to money, no service. PLEASE HELP
UPDATE:
My accounts are finally squared away...well, almost. After keeping my head, being polite, and copying OTS officials on every correspondence, my accounts are up and working.
Continuing issues:
It bothers me that...

Pros: Haven't found any Cons: No customer support, Setting up account is a nightmare!
Netbank - What a huge disappointment!
I received an email offering me $50 if I opened a NetBank account of $50 or more. I figure, easy $50, how difficult can it be. Very difficult, I learned the account opening process was more difficult and...

Pros: none you can't get elsewhere for less hassle Cons: delays, delays, delays
First a summary: They act friendly but when it comes to really getting something done, the customer service department at Netbank is nothing more than a bunch of lying, negligent drones who have no authority to really do anything for you.

Pros: Good interest rates, no fees, free online bill pay, reasonable service Cons: Non-direct-deposits have to be mailed in.
I've been a happy NetBank customer for about 6 months now. I opened a checking account first, and was pleased enough with their interest rates and service that I opened up a money market account and a short-term CD.
I had tried several...

Pros: None Cons: TERRIBLE customer service, time lag on deposits
NetBank is a bottomless pit of poor customer service. Here's my sad sad story that still has no ending yet.
Before reading this review it is important to understand that NetBank is an online bank, and thus has no physical locations for depositing...
