Pros: Easy interface; no-minimum mutual funds. Cons: Badly organized and expect others to waste time on their mistakes.
Summary: I set up an account with X.Com not long after they opened, and I regret it to this day. Please hang with me here ... it's a long story.

Pros: Good idea & a quick $20.00 Cons: The heartache and costs exceeded the free $20.00!
Summary: I really thought this was a good idea: an internet bank presumably backed up by a real, brick & mortar institution. The $20.00 sign-up bonus was nice also. I closed another internet bank account with USAAccess bank when I signed up for x.com. I also went ... read more

Pros: only if you like your banking anal-probing-with-sharp-wooden-stick fun Cons: X.com's banking operations ceased abruptly with minimal notice.
Summary: X.com itself was a young startup, untested in the world of finance. It was full of gimmicks, and didn't seem too trustworthy. The X could have been a badge of defiance, or it could have been a moniker for a anonymous, shady character. I believe in the ... read more

Pros: We should SUE x.com Cons: We were "con"ed by x.com!!!
Summary: I think many people will agree that X.com has "con"ed the masses. I will include my advisor@drbcom.com email address because I wish to hear from all who would agree that we should ban together in a class-action lawsuit against damages and/or ... read more

Pros: Casebook hype machine Cons: No longer exists
Summary: It would be nice if top-rated sites actually existed, but as one of the great unwashed who bought the X.com PR spin back in the spring I am here to tell you that the "financial supersite" is no more. Gone. Nada. Dust.

Pros: Big Woop - they provide postage paid envelopes so you dont' have to pay .33 to mail the payment for your loan - UGH Cons: Um.... Let's seee... they went UNDER. That's enough.
Summary: I have been a member of X.com for almost a year. Yes, I was one of "those" that was reeled in at the prospect of a free $20 and $10 for each referral of which I think I had 3. Not important but factual.
