I unfortunately had an accident. When I called to get the car taken care of, it took forever to resolve the issue. First, they took 2 weeks before they approved the repair. then, 1 month later decided to total the car and give me 12,000 less than it is worth on blue book value. they then said if it was totalled out, I would have to tow it to their door step. I left state farm for these people for the price and that is exactly what they are, a cheaper insurance company. No customer service skills at all. If you want an answer, you have to call them. they will not give you a call ever.

I recently had an experience with Cotton States Insurance. While the previous reviews are positive, the people rating the Insurance Company are policyholders. The story is quite different if you are on the claimant end. While my saga has yet to end, the customer service that I have received is terrible. It has taken seven (7), yes, seven months to obtain a less than satisfactory value of my vehicle. While I have supporting data from new and used dealerships and mechanics support, this information has not even been entertained by Cotton States. It is futile to attempt to negotiate a fair value with this company. Needless to say, I rate this company at the bottom of the food chain.

Country Insurance bought Cotton States Life Insurance Co in 2005. They said the merger would NOT raise rates....not so rates went up 14% on my home owners with no claims ever filed. Go figure. I'm moving to Farmer's.
