Cons: Irresponsible, Unprofessional, No communication.

We had auto insurance with Electric for about 3 months and when my husband went online to pay the next installment, he saw that our policy was cancelled 15 days earlier and we were never notified about that. When we called the customer service deptt to know the reason for cancellation, they said that they didnt receive a document from us and so they cancelled the policy. When we told them that we had already faxed the document 4 weeks ago and also that before cancelling they should have at least notified us in some way, they had nothing to say. So, we were without any auto insurance for about 21 days and we never knew abt that and this whole incident messed up our insurance history. Would not recommend such irresponsible company to anyone.

Pros: coverage is inexpensive and customer service staff are extremely helpful!

My husband works for GE, but it was years before we every switched our policies to Electric. My parents had State Farm and that is who we went with too. Every year our auto policy went up, even with spotless driving records. When we bought our first house, we still didn't change. One day I just got sick of another rate hike in my auto policy and decided to check out every insurance company out there. It took me 5 days to get through them all and it was down to Amica or Electric. I decided to try Electric and have been happy ever since (that has been 13 years ago). The customer service people are kind and patient (I ask a lot of hypothetical questions). ELECTRIC Insurance with worth checking out!

Pros: Friendly, knowledgable, low rates
Cons: They do not write policies in several states

I use to have Electric, unfortunately they do not write in the state I currently live in. I found they had informed customer service, very competitive rates, and luckily can not comment on the claims service.
