Pros: Saved 15 percent the first 6 months Cons: unanounced price increases
I made that 15 minute phone call and saved 15 percent or more on my car insurance. But only for the first 6 months. Then they increased the rates 20 percent for no reason except that all rates in Texas were going up. So I called USAA and saved 5 ...

Pros: fast service/easily understood/people are ready to help Cons: I don't have any!
My first experience with Geico was thru their TV commercials. It finally got to me, so I called them. It was delightful to be able to talk to a human and not a machine. I was signed up and had my coverage within forty five minutes. My policies were...

Pros: Prices are great but you won't know you're covered until later Cons: Reps are pushing to make a sale instead of giving you correct information
Though we have been happy with our Allstate policy and agent, we wanted to check the rates that were out there. As a basis of comparison to our current coverage, we got quotes for 100/300 bodily injury liability. The quote came back quite a bit lower ...

Pros: They used to be cheap. Cons: They are worthless in an accident.
We signed up with them a few years ago because they were the cheapest. Well we found out why. My husband bumped into our neighbors car. We saw no damage done but told them anyway because we were friends and it was the right thing to do. They weren't ...

Pros: It is Ok in some states. Cons: You have to watch your own dollar
I have been with Geico for last four years. Recently I moved to Tennessee. I asked Geico if this move would change my premium. I was told that Tennessee has a lower rate. Geico came back with a quote only $60 less than what 'I have been paying in...

Pros: very cheap Cons: you get what you pay for and less!!!!!!!!
Geico is great as long as you don't have to file a claim!! I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. The lady that hit me was looking for a cigarette and didn't see me and was ticketed. Geico sent bail bondsmen to my house with loaded hand guns ...

Pros: Competitive Rates Cons: collision settlements
My wife was involved in an accident which resulted in our '91 Honda Accord being totaled.
Their valuation was $3050 for a vehicle that has a KBB of $6400. In addition they deducted $400 for the salvage value and stuck us with nearly $300 in storage...

Pros: Deceptive marketing, don't trust them. Cons: Deceptive marketing.
Their customer service was good. Everything was fine until I had a not at fault accident with another GEICO customer. This other driver was obviously lying through his teeth. The collision occurred on a downhill slope--he rear ended me. They said ...

Pros: could save you 15% on insurance Cons: not for me it wasn't
Why is it that Geico advertises that you may be able to cut your insurance by 15 percent?
I recently went online and did a quote on Geico, and I answered all the questions accurately giving specific dates, and I got this HUGE 6 month premium,...

Pros: Best rate
BEST rate (by far)
Website very easy to use and navigate
Cons: Email customer service is an illusion.
Useless phone support
Web site errors
I just bought a new car and I was curious if I could do better on my insurance. I had my home, business, life and auto all through the same company, but had my business insurance spun off about 6 years ago and my home and auto about 2-3 years ago. I was ...

Pros: They collect your money Cons: They collect your money
I am currently a GEICO auto insurance customer - but not for long and here is why. GEICO offers good rates in my area for people with a few red marks on their driving record.
Also GEICO rewards good driving by decreasing rates every 6 months....

Pros: some people actually save money Cons: did not work for me
Bombarded by Geico's tv (funny) and press ads plus leaflets found on the streets etc. I decided to give them a try. I did it online (not through the 15 minute call) so maybe it is the reason why I did not succeed in getting the promised $$ savings....

Pros: Nice website, good commercials Cons: Deceptive, Poor customer service, adjuster did not come out when expected
I had an insurance company that I was extremely happy with (A+ Auto Insurance), but my husband had an accident, and was unhappy with their handling of it and convinced me to change with him. Geico assured me that the policy with them would be comparable ...
