Pros: helpful, polite employees; easy online banking Cons: physical locations are limited to areas north of Dallas
I adore Community Credit Union. How many financial institutions are there that anyone would be willing to make such a bold statement about? Not many, I assure you.
I've been a member of CCU for longer than I can remember. My parents opened a...
Pros: Great rates, great service Cons: Limited ATM availability
Like most credit unions, the biggest problem with Community Credit Union (CCU) is the lack of ATMs. Everything else is stellar. But with a Visa Check Card available for all members, you rarely need to find an ATM for anything except to make a deposit....

Pros: They are growing, no extra charges for service, internet access/bill pay on line Cons: not in all areas - yet
I choose Community Credit Union because my mother was a member. I enjoy banking here because everyone is so friendly. The website is convenient and easy to use. I log on at least once a day to monitor my account, and they have redone their home page...
Instituted fees without my knowledge by tvtune ,Mar 06 '05
Pros: They aint Bank One. Cons: Thanks for changing my account without my knowledge.
I just found out that Community Credit Union, unbeknownst to me, changed my checking account from ultimate checking to interest checking and has charged me a $9 service fee everytime the balance dropped below $1500, which never happened before. I signed nothing authorizing my account changeover and wouldnt have if I knew that was going to occur.
Now, according to the member newsletter, the board of directors wanna change CCu from a credit union to a savings bank. Over 2 months have passed since they've filed disclosure papers and I've heard nothing since. I have bad memories of S and L's in texas. I'd like to know just how its gonna effect me as a member.
