Pros: Variety of products and services Cons: Long lines
As someone in the banking industry myself, I have nothing but praise for NFCU. As a member since 1997, I have never had a problem at any member service center or with any product. Granted the lines can be long at times, but if that is the worst thing I...

Unhelpful

Well I moved to Hawaii with my then husband. We were stationed in Kaneohe Bay Navy Fed was out the back gate so I opend accounts with them BIG BIG mistake. This is probably the worst credit union I had ever delt with. I have worked in banks and had been ...

Pros: Great Rates Cons: Mostly Coastal
My husband is in the US Navy, and when you are in the military you are always on the look out for the best deals in anything. And I would have to say that Navy Federal Credit Union is one of them.
They have great rates for loans, great...

Pros: Awesome interest rates, great service. Cons: No branches close to us, but on-line banking is available.
We have banked with NFCU for just over three years now and always have good things to say about them. My husband is a (now-retired) Marine and I feel like it has been a privilege to bank with NFCU. We will be life-long members. Their auto loan rates ...

Pros: had a good response time in the past Cons: poor customer service; horrible visa program
My husband has been a member of NFCU since 1974. In the past, they have been good to deal with since their response time for loans was always quite fast, but now I would never recommend them to anybody.
The problem is with their new system...

Pros: Excellent rates, great website, great customer service. Cons: Limited locations, doesn't supply currency exchange.
This is the best bank I have ever dealt with. They have wonderful interest rates on loans and credit cards alike. When I refinanced my spouses auto loan not only did we get our interest rate down by 3% but they gave us $100 in cash. I also opened up an...

Pros: Everywhere Cons: Mediocre interest rates for loans and savings accounts
I'm in the navy, therefore, I have an NFCU account. The ONLY reason why they're so popular is that they're EVERYWHERE a navy person goes. Anywhere from Pensacola to Sigonella to Bahrain...there's a NFCU.
Unfortunately, their car loan rates...

Pros: No outrageous fees! Great interest rates! Cons: not enough locations
I have been a member of Navy Federal for 3 years! I don't have anything negative to say except that they need more locations! I have many positive things to say about Navy Federal. The credit card.... No over the limit fees, I mean who really keeps track...

Pros: Online Banking Cons: Me being in Cali, we are on a 3 hour difference
I choose this credit union of course because we are a Navy family. They still showed me a better reason to do my business with them. When I call to ask a question they always make sure they help me to the fullest and sometimes the laugh if I make a joke....

Pros: Outstanding customer service, great website, free checking Cons: limited physical locations
I and my wife have been with this organization since I was in the Navy. I've tried regular banks but they lose this customer. Limited locations can be countered by using a local ATM for getting cash. You could open an account at a local bank, but they...

Pros: Great customer service; low costs and low rates. Cons: None
I read a review saying how the mortgage process at Navy Fed was pretty much awful. I just recently went through the process and it was the easiest mortgage I ever have gotten. This was the third time I have gotten a mortgage. I contacted them and ...

Pros: Lots of services; Great on-line options Cons: Long lines
First of all, I choose my days of the week and times of the day to go to the NFCU so that I do not have to wait in long lines. Monday-Thursday before 11 a.m. and between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. are pretty good times to go do business. If you are only...

Pros: fantastic service Cons: none
This is one of the best things the Navy has to offer- for active duty, retired military and civilian employees as well! Once a member, always a member- and it is truly a privilege. They offer a full range of services and seem to do them all very well....

Pros: easy to understand Cons: cannot see any just skimmed the web site
The navy federal credit union obviously gives good service or they would not be able to keep their customers, one badly treated customer could lead to many customers leaving the credit union, if one customer tells a friend about bad service recieved on...
