Pros: Low loan rates, High savings/checking rates Cons: Can't get in the place
I have been a member of the Suncoast Schools FCU for about 15 years. I have seen it grow from the perspective of a Brandon resident, where the view has gotten worse as the years have gone by. The FCU is a great deal. High % rates on savings a/c's,...

Pros: Overall better deal than the "musical banks" which charge for checking.
Cons: Have to wait 6 months.
Accounts are interest bearing even under $1000...not like banks who CHARGE to have an account if the balance falls below $1000. Better deal overall. Better for all of us to keep our money in OUR pockets instead of big business banks which seem to...

Pros: Great fees and friendly service Cons: what cons

Great Rate Auto Loan and Savings Account
by aspenwall ,Mar 25 '04
Pros: Rates, Website, ATMs Cons: Lack of (Walk Up) Banks, Inexperienced Loan Officers, Paperwork process
I was not approved to open a checking account with this Bank but I was allowed to open a savings account which I have done. I understand this is a common problem with credit unions and young people. I have my auto loan with this credit union and I could not believe the rate I was offered. The paperwork took a little longer than I expected I believe in part to the very very young loan officer. She was actully younger than me. I know because we went to school together. It is nearly impossible to find any of their banks in my area, I end up deal with customer service over the phone but even they have been helpful. I have discovered that I may go to a number of other Teachers Credit Unions to make deposits and withdrawls as if I were at my own bank. No fees, etc. I believe I am having a decent experience with this bank and I would send any other young people I know there for their fantastic rates.
