:( Baffled+Boredom= Abandonment

by UCturboBoii , Sep 14 '00
Pros: Graphics are smooth
Cons: BAFFLING: If you are baffled it is a matter of time before you get BORED!
In Nintendo's first generation game, Blast Corp., tremendous brain power is required. This is not your typical Twisted Metal or shoot 'em up game! Only the most skillful game player should get their hands on this! For the general players, leave this...

Difficult to swallow...

by gemini_666 , Jan 25 '01
Pros: good graphics
Cons: little replay value
Rare is a company the produces a lot of great games. However, Blast Corps for the Nintendo 64 is not one of them. For a better representation of what Rare can do, check out Goldeneye: 007 for the N64. Anyways, back to the subject on hand...Blast Corps...

Bad Game, Bad News

by TwelveMotion , Apr 04 '00
Pros: Great Graphics, Neat Robots, You get to go to mars if you beat the game (Good luck)
Cons: Hard, Frustration, Bad Story, Need control pack to save more then one game
This is one of the worst games I have ever played. Not only is the plot of the game mind numbingly dumb. It is also to hard, and uninteresting.

Think about the plot of this game. A nuclear truck is on a one way course to some place...

A nice change of pace

by Ataris , Jun 17 '00
Pros: Different type of game, many varieties of game styles, huge replay value
Cons: The announcer can get very irritating, large learning curve
Ever so often in a crowded market of first person shooters, RPG's and racing games, there is a game that stands out as being different. Sometimes different means bad, but not in the case of Blast Corps. Rare has shown with this game that there is still...

interesting...

by killaX , May 12 '00
Pros: lots of levels
Cons: not that much fun
I have got to say, this is one of the most original ideas for a game that I've ever seen. You chose a type of either construction vehicle, or some kind of evil demolition car. Here's the layout: A nuclear warhead is about to go off, and you need to get...

Shouldn't have been made!

by dantetownes , Jan 11 '00
Pros: Nothing good about this game
Cons: bad graphics, slow, bad storyline
This game should never been made. I mean they shouldn't have even thought about making this game. How anyone could find this game fun is far past me. I mean maybe running around blowing things up would be fun but not this. I mean for some reason this...

It cant get any more original than this!

by Shaunpm60 , Oct 31 '00
Pros: Very innovative. Great graphics and sound. Many places to destroy. A guilty pleasure.
Cons: The game ends a little early, but the final challenge could keep you coming back. No rumble pak support (but the rumble pak didn't come out until a month after this game was released).
You may have heard of this game or not. This game never recieved any recognition by the way of advertising, but almost every video game critic loved it. I couldn't see why a game like this, being so original and fun, never made it big.

Blast...

Awesome game!

by oopelotudooo , Mar 10 '00
Pros: graphics, originality
Cons: controls
The different vehicles keep this game from getting boring -- and flying J-Bomb Pilotwings-style is a real treat. However, I think that there are too many bonus levels and too few real "missile carrier out of control" missions. The shortness of...

Blast what?

by bibkid64 , Apr 18 '00
Pros: None that I could find
Cons: Boring, confusing, stupid
I just want to start out by saying that I just plain do not understand this game. Maybe that is why I dislike it so greatly, or why I gave it such a low rating, but to me a game should be easy to figure out, and fun to play. According to other reviews I...

Fun Challenges for a While

by dianalynnxk , May 16 '00
Pros: Fun, Challenging, Thought Inducing
Cons: Slow at times, Basic gameplay, Tiring
Blast Corps. is a fun little game that isn't the best, but isn't very bad. It's almost like a puzzle game with explosions and mass destruction (tetris with nukes?).

In the game you play a little man who can go from viehicle to viehicle with...

What a WASTE!!!!

by agt99 , Feb 08 '00
Pros: NONE!
Cons: Totally Inconsistent!
I do not know if I can even get through this review, without cursing!

I remember when we first bought our N64. It was Christmas so it is kind of hard to forget! We had so much fun playing Mario. The graphics were incredible and Mario was so...

Gotta Love Mass Destruction

by Area51 , Dec 23 '99
Pros: Diverse selection of vehicles, good graphics, and an original plot
Cons: None
Blast Corps was the first game in the 3rd party genre I have ever played, and I must say that it is, forgive the pun, a blast. It provides an original way of saving the world from nuclear destruction which is to destroy all infrastructure in the path of...

Why did they bother to release it?

by clocks , Dec 01 '99
Pros: innovative concepts, reasonable graphics
Cons: horrible gameplay, awkward controls, graphics COULD use improvement/
Yeah! Fire! Fire! Hehe, Blow up! bang! crash! hehe, DESTROY!

Hmm, me thinks somone needs to get ahold of themselves. This game is simply a rampage of destruction. Im sorry to say it, but it fails miserably to catch a person's attention for...

Blow stuff up

by azreal , Jan 14 '00
Pros: unique, challenging
Cons: no multi-player, limited replay value
Blast Corps is one of the most unique games out for the N64. It combines the action of blowing stuff up with the strategy of blowing up the right stuff at the right time to pass the level. This game has 5 or 6 normal vehicles and another 5 or so that can...

Smashing is the best.

by rooster135 , Nov 30 '99
Pros: You get to tear things up.
Cons: Real simple game.
The concept of this game is extremely easy to understand. It is one of the most basic concepts in a game. All you do is climb in an assortment of vehicles and robots among other things to smash everything you can. You accumlate points by doing the best...
