Pros: Farming at It's Best, Very Addictive... Cons: Who Would think a Farming Game Could be Good?
Farming at It's Best
Ok, now this is one of the most curious games ever released, I mean it must be extremely difficult to hype up a sim that is about farming. And how fun can a game be where you have chores and such, and how repetitive...
Pros: Many options, endless possibilities, addictive (once you get into it) Cons: Repetitive, take patience at first
I initially purchased Harvest Moon in November or December, right around the time that I purchased Donkey Kong 64. Needless to say, I spent most of my winter vacation time playing that instead of Harvest Moon. During the spring semester at college, I...
Pros: Charming, loads of events and things to do, the girls, depth and scope. Cons: Not many things to buy, wood collecting, item menu, generally unrefined
Harvest Moon 64 is the best RPG on the N64... well farming RPG I should say. Although the senses may not be overly stimulated by this game, which lacks excellent graphics and sound effects, this game will stimulate your heart. (In fact, this game...
Pros: Fun. Addictive. Fun. Many Possibilities. Fun.
Cons: The Repetitive Music. Pop-up Graphics. Can't play as a girl.
Yes, that's right, A farming sim. Ol' Grandpappy has died and it's your job to repair the farm and turn it into a profitable business. First you need to clear the land of weeds and boulders so you can get a good patch of land sewed with the seeds....
Pros: Easy to learn, ABSOLUTELY no violence, cute characters, encourages reading, hard work, and values. Cons: Monotonous music, some grammatical errors, priced on the high end.
I would like to preface this Epinion with the tiny lil fact that I am not a teenager, hardcore gamer, electronics wiz, or anybody who IS anybody in the "gaming" world. Rather, I am simply a mom.
Pros: Long, varied, good music, nice graphics Cons: Repititious
A game about work definetly wouldn't have interested me, before I played this game. In a few words, all Harvest Moon 64 is about is-planting, watering, feeding, brushing, and giving gifts. Simple. There has to be a lot more depth in order for a game...
Pros: Fun and unique type of gaming Cons: Not exciting
This isn't a game that you can actually beat. At least, not really. This is not a game for those who like to shoot things, blow things up, run things over, stomp, race, or do anything of an active nature. This is an RPG, but it's an RPG of a different...
Pros: Addictive, innovative, and, above all, very enjoyable. Cons: Flawed graphics, sound, and translation; somewhat short lifespan; the game needs a proof-check overall.
It is difficult to establish in exactly which game genre Harvest Moon 64 belongs. It is also very difficult for reviewers to try to explain it. ZDNet’s Gamespot took a stab at it when they said, "It’s as if the developer took every minigame that’s...
Pros: Lots of stuff to do on your farm and in the town. Cons: A few chores get tedious early on in the game.
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm addicted to Harvest Moon 64. I don't know how it happened, honest. I started the game thinking it was going to be a cute little farming sim and find my self dreaming about planting corn and cabbage, wanting to gather eggs each...
Pros: Very addictive, like The Sims in terms of addiction, deep gameplay with many secrets Cons: ugly graphics that include polygon popup, repetitive music, did I mention how ugly the graphics are?
It's not often in today's fickle video game market that a game this ugly can make it stateside. Hell, Square reworked some backgrounds of Final Fantasy VII in the transition from Japan to the US because it wasn't good enough visually. It was...
Pros: fun, not too stressful, somewhat challenging Cons: addictive
Although fast-paced shoot-em-up games can be fun, my life is stressful enough without them, so when I want to relax I play simulator-type games where there is little stress. Harvest Moon 64 is the perfect find for relaxing and having fun. The idea of...
Pros: music, features, control, it's fun! Cons: not my favorite type of graphics
When you think of the name, "Harvest Moon" you usualy think of 1 of these 2 things: 1.Farms on the moon, or 2. Oh, a remake of that Super Nintendo game? If you thought #1, you are........ drumroll please.........................
...
Pros: Great graphics, wonderful fully adjustable camera angles, more crops, more animals, never-ending game, tons of secrets, fun, lots of replay value, more festivals, characters, customizable houses, horse and dog races, and a new "recipe" feature. Cons: Can be monotonous at times (especially the music), getting colds is SOOOO annoying, animals can get sick easily, some secret things don't always work. A few weird bugs (one of which is incredibly helpful! ~_~) Mild use of alcohol.
Oy, I love this game! The GB version was okay, GBC a bit better, the SNES version was great, but THIS is spectacular!
Most people will sneer at the plot when they first hear of it, but once you play it, all of your previous suspicions and...
