Pros: non-violent game, engaging, attractive graphics Cons: you begin to neglect your own life by spending too much time on theirs
I had a dollhouse as a kid. I wallpapered it, furnished it, found dolls to inhabit it; I even dreamed of adding electricity (I never did, though). Mostly what I liked to do, though, was take the furniture OUT of the house and build new and exciting...

Pros: Lots of stuff to buy, do, and build Cons: They just keep getting stuck!
When I first heard about this game, I was wondering whether it would be worth the money or not. I am a video game freak! I play whenever I can get the free time. The one thing I look for in a game is re-playablity. I don't like to spend my money on a...

Pros: Unlimited expandability, addicting Cons: Addictive, easy to burn out on the game
When The Sims came out, I had to get it that day. I have always loved Sim games, and this one seemed too much fun to pass up. And I was right.

Pros: Many scenarios to choose from, very addicting Cons: Not the smartest artificial intelligence, takes too long for sims to react when canceling actions
A breath of fresh air has blown into the computer gaming world. Finally there is a game where blowing up everything in sight is not the point of the entire game, slaying demons from the pits of hell is not our objective, and trying to destroy each...

Pros: Not just buildings, utilities and parks, it's lives. Challenging and addicting. Cons: Adding expansion packs will slow down graphics and response times.
For over a year now I have been a Sim-manipulator. This Christmas I got the expansion packs "House Party" and "Hot Date". I was thrilled because I had long outgrown the original "The Sims"; and after seeing the commercial on television for "Hot Date" I...

Pros: Clever premise, beautiful graphics, smooth interface. Cons: Extremely limited replay value, slow expansion schedule.
As an economist, I have to look at peoples' behavior for a living. A game like The Sims intrigued me because it tries to model the kinds of things I have to study - time management, resource management, and decision making. I realized the thing...
