Pros: Dries like a normal dryer. Cons: A little noisy.
We bought this dryer to go with our Bosch dryer. We were concerned that the self-venting dryer wouldn't really dry our clothes but it's been great. It takes about 50 minutes for a full load of cottons and another 10-15 minutes for a load of towels ...
Pros: Compact, self-venting, accurate sensors Cons: Compact (not good for large families), a touch noisy, needs access to drain, expensive
I have been using this dryer for about ten months, and am pleased overall. I live in Brooklyn, NY, and converted a closet in my second bedroom to hold a stackable washer and dryer. Outside venting was not an option, and I was also limited in choice due ...
Sometimes, the greatest concepts turn out to be real clunkers, especially when the execution does not go as planned. And that is the Axxis 5410 Condensation Dryer - great idea for small places; horribly unreliable, faulty product. We have had our Axxis ...
Pros: Compact. Does not require venting. Cons: Poor reliability. Difficult to find competent repair people. Too lint sensitive.
This Bosch condensation dryer has been disappointing with regard to its service and reliability. It is only three years old, yet has problems (the best assumption is that it has to do with the electronics or the sensors) that prevent it from working and...
Pros: compact size
easy on clothing Cons: breaks down easily
plastic parts break
I have had a lot of problems with the Bosch Condensation dryer. It often does not work. The condensation system, a terrific idea for apartment dwellers, does not seem to work well. I have had to have many service calls on this machine in the three...
Do Not Buy the Bosch Axxis WTL 5410 by giveup22222 ,Aug 23 '07
Pros: Good idea but doesnt work Cons: Bosch repair representatives dont know how the condensation dryers operate. Very frequent and expensive maintenance.
I owned this dryer for only three years when it stopped draining. I used a Bosch-recommended repair firm that had no idea how to fix it after 3 visits and $200. I called another repair firm that Bosch recommended. They charged $300 to replace a pump. I have paid $500 so far to fix the dryer. The second repair firm also adjusted the angle of the stacked washer and dryer to improve drainage, they said. Now the Bosch washer is leaking all over the floor. I am certain that if I call the repair company they will charge another $200 to repair their mistake. This is endless frustration.
I'll never buy Bosch again by headhunter001 ,Aug 12 '05
Pros: Fits in an interior small space Cons: Bosch does not stand behind their product.
I bought a Bosch ventless dryer for a small interior space and have had numerous problems with it over the years.
Recently, I have spent $500.00 with their authorized service dealer and the Bosch factory trying to have it fixed, but to no avail. Four service calls and they are out of ideas.
Now Bosch will not refund the money I have spent nor send me a replacement dryer. They have no customer service and apparently no need for brand loyalty. I won't buy Bosch again.
great if you love wrinkled clothes by mddebeaucourt ,Oct 10 '05
Pros: compact Cons: loud, everything comes out wrinkled, cycles are to long
I bought this dryer because of it's compact size and the well respected name of Bosh. It was the worst $899 i have ever spent. First off it takes a minimum of an hour to dry a normal size load, and secondly the clothes come out wrinkled just about every time.
I would seriously look into this appliance before making a purchase.
Pros: Beautiful stainless steel interior. Easy to clean lint screen. Cons: Ugly layout, noisy, slow drying, small capacity, most likely inefficient.
So what if it does not require an outside vent? I don't care how my clothes are dried as long as the machine dries and is efficient. This dryer takes forever to dry anything. Perhaps it works perfectly with lingerie and laces but it takes over 1 hour to dry a small amount of cotton clothing. The reason there may not be many wrinkles in your clothing is because most of your clothing remain damp for hours when using one of its pre-programmed settings. And if you place this unit in a closet, the manual even instructs you to leave the closet door opened while it is operating! Plus the dryer's button and dial layout is awful: reminds me of the early 1980s when interface design and usability were considered fluff to executives and engineers. This is the worst dryer I have ever used.
