Pros: Small size makes it handy to keep on the counter. Cons: Does NOT make good Cappuccino!
One of my brother-in-law’s favorite “family stories” is about the time he visited a local restaurant. He was quite excited to see some additions to the normally pedestrian menu. One of the additions was cappuccino or espresso coffee. The waitress came to...
Pros: Easy to use, good quality Cons: Froth attachment clogs if not cleaned after every use
I'm a coffee and cappuccino addict. I've cut back on my caffeine intake dramatically recently but I still love a hot cup of coffee or a latte in the mornings. I've wanted an espresso maker for a while but had never bought one because I just wasn't...
Pros: Makes Great Coffee Treats Cons: Makes Enough For 2 People
As the title might elude to I got this Krups Espresso machine for my one year anniversary. This little piece of machinery is a nice addition to my ever growing hope chest.
I was a little puzzled though by the suggested price of...
Pros: Does make wonderful espresso and Cappuccino at home and machine was a reasonable price. Cons: So many directions! So many steps. So much attention. A coffeehouse is more fun.
I thought the Mr. Coffee espresso/cappuccino maker Model ECM3,would be one of those fun appliances. It seemed more entertaining until I got tired of reading the instructions every time I used it. I found I had to carefully follow the directions to get...
My entry level Krups espresso machine was purchased on a newly-wed budget. With that in mind it performs acceptably well. The art of espresso making was new to me at the time, as it is to most of those who purchase this product, but the manual got me...
Pros: inexpensive Cons: not large enough to properly brew a good espresso
I remember the romantic times when I was a teenager in love and with my lady on my arm we would stroll into the sidewalk cafes in a quaint city near my hometown. Ah, i remember sipping my first cappucino staring into her eyes and relishing the moment....
Pros: Pros aren't going to like any home espresso machine, they are spoiled. Cons: Cons probably don't get to drink espresso, it's a privilege so enjoy it while you can.
God I love espresso in the morning, it smells like . . . well, coffee. I used to work in a coffee house, and those early mornings dealing with the public were made bearable by a quick "Double Shot of My Baby's Love". Now I'm starting my...
I bought this Krups Espresso Bravo Plus #872 machine because I got tired of the same old coffee at work. I like to go to the coffee houses and have something special, but that gets very expensive if you go on a regular basis. So I thought I'd make these...
Pros: Quick tasty brew Cons: Too small for a large party
After happily using an older version of this machine for many years, my family decided it was time for an upgrade. They bought me a Krups Espremio FNP1 Espresso Maker which I ended up returning to the store. Still intent on replacing the trusty old...
Pros: Quickly brews espresso. Cons: The milk frother is a bit unwieldy.
I got the Krups Espresso Machine through an EBay auction. It is a godsend. When I was in law school, I became highly dependent upon Starbucks, but the Starbucks bill ended up to be really hefty. So, I purchased this machine and my caffeine needs were...
Pros: Inexpensive, acceptable product quality, easy to use. Cons: Steamer attachment is a pain to clean, doesn't heat milk adequately.
I bought the Krups Espresso Bravo Plus a few months ago as a replacement machine for my office . . . I enjoy my morning latte but don't relish walking 2 blocks in the rain to the campus coffee shop. The Bravo Plus is a steam system which doesn't do...
Pros: Inexpensive, decent product Cons: Makes small amount, difficult directions
I love a good espresso, latte, or cappuccino as much as the next guy, but I hate paying 3.25 for a cup of coffee. To feed my addiction, I eventually decided it was time to go for my own machine. Unfortunately, I'm just about as cheap about appliances as...
Function.
This Krups unit functions by sending pressurized water (steam) through the coffee. This is not how a cafe style "pump" espresso machine works. A coffee house or cafe typically uses a 2 or 3 group/head espresso machine that keeps...
Pros: Easy to use, Good taste Cons: Hard to clean, Very Slow, very slow.
I received the Krups Espresso Bravo Plus for Christmas a few years back, and loved it at first, but I soon found many things about it that were not so loveable.
The machine, I must admit, makes a great latte, if you know how to use it. When I...
Pros: makes decent espresso Cons: frothing attachment is unreliable
uses steam to make brew espresso
My experience with Krups products has not been good. Three out of three Krups products I have used have not worked right out of the box, or a few months down the road. Two of the three units were regular coffee makers. The quality of brewed coffee from...
Pros: after using a pump espresso machine, none Cons: uses steam to make the espresso,
frothing attachment unreliable
The Krups Espresso Bravo is not a true espresso machine. The Bravo uses steam pressure, not a pump, to force the hot water through the ground coffee. The result is not the espresso that you find at a good coffee house, but instead is just strong coffee....
Pros: easy to use, just right for 1 or 2 people Cons: small water reservoir
I never had a latte until I moved out to Washington! Man, what I was missing!! I love a nice hot Sugar Free Irish Cream latte in the morning and now, since I bought this little machine a couple months ago, I can make them whenever I want to! This is a...
What a little gem. this product is great for making that one single or double latte or espresso. Like I said, its all about the caffeine, who cares about the mess or the time it consumes to get a beverage made. Lets face it, it will always be easier...
Pros: small, easy to use, makes great tasting espresso Cons: not especially great for cappuchino or lattes
I am an avid fan of coffee in all its forms. From cappuchino to cafe latte, plain old coffee and yes, espresso. This unit was a great buy at under $100 and makes some great tasting espresso for that extra boost in the morning, late night study...
Pros: Nifty attachment for foaming milk Cons: Dangerous!!!
I got this machine for Christmas a couple of years back. I love cappuccino, and my husband thought this would be a great gift, and at first it was. Then, within a month or so the switch became tempermental. You turn it one way to brew, and the other...
Pros: Compact, nice price, great espresso, easy to use. Cons: flimsy thumb guard, a little messy,(use more water that it says)
Hello. This is a fine espresso machine. I have enjoyed espressos from professional quality to Mr. Coffee machines, and this rates near the former. After ten years, it was time to discard my Mr. Coffee espresso maker. It had been a good friend to me,...
Pros: Convenience of Lattes without leaving Home Cons: Not Very Powerful
We bought this because we were going broke buying Starbuck's lattes that we love. Unfortunately we still keep going back to Starbucks because their darn desserts are soooo good. This is a little machine that is good for people like us who want the...
Pros: Very easy to use and clean Cons: Only makes a very small amount
When my wife first said she wanted a cappuccino and espresso machine, I had my doubts. I thought it would be a pain to deal with and that we wouldn't use it. Was I wrong. We use our Krups regularly for family gatherings and dinner parties. It is...
Pros: SIMPLE TO USE, EASY TO CLEAN AND TASTES FRESHLY BREWED Cons: ONLY COMES IN ONE COLOR - BLACK.
My family has served expresso coffee after each main meal all my life. From the age of 6, I was taught to make expresso with the usual neopolitan coffeepot. When I got married, my godchild bought me a Krups Expresso Bravo machine as a house-warming...
Great for at home when you can not make the stop at the coffee shop in the a.m. or if you want a decaf in the evening without going out for it....easy clean...easy use....compact on the counter. Super product to be given as a gift for wedding or...
Pros: Cool-looking black, makes espresso Cons: Doesn't make cappuccino very well
I was really excited about getting this for my wedding, because I was tired of spending $4 a pop at Starbucks. The first couple of times I used it, it was great. The milk foamed and frothed, the cappuccino delicious, and I was very happy. The unit is...
Pros: Price, decent latte's etc. if you're not a "coffee expert". Cons: Directions are confusing...it doesn't answer questions you may have. Too long to warm up!
Being an old Starbuck's employee I didn't expect much for a $60 machine...and so I wasn't disappointed...I didn't get much. It isn't fancy but it does the job alright. I'm used to the machines that are sold through Starbucks costing btw. $300-$600, of ...
Pros: Great espresso/cappuccino in the comfort of your own home! Cons: Cleaning is no fun, but is it ever?
I'm addicted to mochas. I don't know that I could live without them at this point in my life...which is really kind of sad. What's evening more disgusting is that I purchased this machine as a birthday gift for my husband in order to support my habit....
We bought this Krups Espresso Bravo Plus #872 machine as we enjoys a ice expresso and they cost over $3 and the machine
will pay for it's self in the first month as much as we drink. It's very easy to use just measure out the water and coffee for...
As the sole coffee and espresso drinker in the house, my needs run to the smaller machines. I don't need one that will make my espresso, wake me up and have the optional siren. What I do need is a solid, reliable machine that will last and last. Krups...
Pros: convenient, easy to use Cons: slow, leaks if not carefully closed
For $70 (20 visits to Starbucks), you get a pretty reasonable cappucino without the commute. Krups is fairly well built, and easy to clean. It is quite durable (the last model I bought last me over 5 years) and easy to clean. Make sure you use purified...
Pros: It works.. Cons: Hard to read instructions..
I love mochas. love them. I had never made any type of coffee in my life until I received this Krups Espresso Maker for Christmas this year. Upon opening this present, I was very excited. Three hours later when I was still staring at the directions,...
I received this item as a Christmas gift. Its a lovely product, nicely made, and I especially liked the black finish. The machine is small, and compact, and living in an apartment, it didn't conquer the limited space in my kitchen.
I have used...
Pros: Good-tasting espresso Cons: Noisy; makes only 1 shot
This machine only makes 1 shot of espresso at a time, so it was too inconvenient to use. I might have kept it though were it not for the NOISE! It makes a horribly loud, vibrating noise. Also, I was not that impressed with the milk frother - though maybe I just couldn't figure out how to use it.
7 years old and still making great lattes... by linzjupiter ,Feb 16 '08
Pros: Makes consistently tasty espresso with good crema, and great lattes. Cons: Milk frother is a bit temperamental.
I bought this for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary, as my mum had become recently addicted to lattes. I didn't want to spend too much as I figured it might be a passing fancy. So I spent $100 at Sears on the Bravo Plus.
Sure enough, my mum made no effort to learn how to use it, and I took it home with me about 6 months later.
Seven years later it still makes great espresso and lattes. I use it at least once a day... so it's made at least 2500 lattes over its lifetime. I use a certain absurdly popular coffee bar's ground espresso in it, and it turns out even better in my machine than at the store.
My glass carafe finally broke today after 7 years, and I ordered a replacement online. It should arrive in a couple of weeks. Hopefully my Bravo Plus will still be kicking it for years to come.
A decent, good result giving machine, but not among the best by intelfun ,Oct 31 '07
Pros: Not expensive, works fine, easy to figure out functions Cons: Steam comes through too fast, which lessens the coffee strength
I want especially to agree with one previous review where it was mentioned that this machine does not give you a chance to taste that special coffee froth which is very specific to top notch espresso machines. It just makes strong coffee. But I am fine with it (until I get a better one..)
