Bravo Plus not fancy but not bad - Previous Starbucks Employee

by allfuzzyinside , Sep 20 '04
Pros: Price, decent latte's etc. if you're not a "coffee expert".
Cons: Directions are confusing...it doesn't answer questions you may have. Too long to warm up!
Being an old Starbuck's employee I didn't expect much for a $60 machine...and so I wasn't disappointed...I didn't get much. It isn't fancy but it does the job alright. I'm used to the machines that are sold through Starbucks costing btw. $300-$600, of ...

Delicious double cap in seven minutes

by eyesplice , Mar 27 '03
Pros: Quick tasty brew
Cons: Too small for a large party
After happily using an older version of this machine for many years, my family decided it was time for an upgrade. They bought me a Krups Espremio FNP1 Espresso Maker which I ended up returning to the store. Still intent on replacing the trusty old...

No Foam Here

by jlatels , Sep 08 '02
Pros: Cool-looking black, makes espresso
Cons: Doesn't make cappuccino very well
I was really excited about getting this for my wedding, because I was tired of spending $4 a pop at Starbucks. The first couple of times I used it, it was great. The milk foamed and frothed, the cappuccino delicious, and I was very happy. The unit is...

The Krups Bravo Plus makes excellent espresso, lattes and cappuccinos. Here are a few tips to get you making café as good as the best coffee bars.

Tip#1. Start with good coffee. I hate to say it, but Starbucks is the best I've found so far,...

Krups Espresso Machine

by pitt3l , Jun 05 '02
Pros: Quickly brews espresso.
Cons: The milk frother is a bit unwieldy.
I got the Krups Espresso Machine through an EBay auction. It is a godsend. When I was in law school, I became highly dependent upon Starbucks, but the Starbucks bill ended up to be really hefty. So, I purchased this machine and my caffeine needs were...

Spend a little more and get a pump machine

by sidamo , Jan 07 '02
Pros: after using a pump espresso machine, none
Cons: uses steam to make the espresso, frothing attachment unreliable
The Krups Espresso Bravo is not a true espresso machine. The Bravo uses steam pressure, not a pump, to force the hot water through the ground coffee. The result is not the espresso that you find at a good coffee house, but instead is just strong coffee....

Krups products are unpredictable

by sidamo , Oct 10 '01
Pros: makes decent espresso
Cons: frothing attachment is unreliable uses steam to make brew espresso
My experience with Krups products has not been good. Three out of three Krups products I have used have not worked right out of the box, or a few months down the road. Two of the three units were regular coffee makers. The quality of brewed coffee from...

by Prepoia Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 09 '01
Pros: Small size makes it handy to keep on the counter.
Cons: Does NOT make good Cappuccino!
One of my brother-in-law’s favorite “family stories” is about the time he visited a local restaurant. He was quite excited to see some additions to the normally pedestrian menu. One of the additions was cappuccino or espresso coffee. The waitress came to...

I like Espresso lots

by alf8kitty , Jul 30 '01
Pros: Compact, nice price, great espresso, easy to use.
Cons: flimsy thumb guard, a little messy,(use more water that it says)
Hello. This is a fine espresso machine. I have enjoyed espressos from professional quality to Mr. Coffee machines, and this rates near the former. After ten years, it was time to discard my Mr. Coffee espresso maker. It had been a good friend to me,...

Pros: Nifty attachment for foaming milk
Cons: Dangerous!!!
I got this machine for Christmas a couple of years back. I love cappuccino, and my husband thought this would be a great gift, and at first it was. Then, within a month or so the switch became tempermental. You turn it one way to brew, and the other...

Pros: Easy to use, good quality
Cons: Froth attachment clogs if not cleaned after every use
I'm a coffee and cappuccino addict. I've cut back on my caffeine intake dramatically recently but I still love a hot cup of coffee or a latte in the mornings. I've wanted an espresso maker for a while but had never bought one because I just wasn't...

Another Appliance I Put on the Shelf

by jdrum , Mar 11 '01
Pros: Does make wonderful espresso and Cappuccino at home and machine was a reasonable price.
Cons: So many directions! So many steps. So much attention. A coffeehouse is more fun.
I thought the Mr. Coffee espresso/cappuccino maker Model ECM3,would be one of those fun appliances. It seemed more entertaining until I got tired of reading the instructions every time I used it. I found I had to carefully follow the directions to get...

by PickyMom , Jan 21 '01
Pros: Great espresso/cappuccino in the comfort of your own home!
Cons: Cleaning is no fun, but is it ever?
I'm addicted to mochas. I don't know that I could live without them at this point in my life...which is really kind of sad. What's evening more disgusting is that I purchased this machine as a birthday gift for my husband in order to support my habit....

Pros: Inexpensive, decent product
Cons: Makes small amount, difficult directions
I love a good espresso, latte, or cappuccino as much as the next guy, but I hate paying 3.25 for a cup of coffee. To feed my addiction, I eventually decided it was time to go for my own machine. Unfortunately, I'm just about as cheap about appliances as...
