Pros: Affordable, Well Made, Does what it is made for well and is easy to use Cons: Very plain looking - if that matters to you. Ours is in the basement anyways
About six months ago our old dryer died after 14 years of use and abuse. We wanted something solid, simple and affordable.
This machine is all of those things. It ain't fancy and the controls do not look like the cockpit of a 747.
It handles large loads and drys them quickly. It is put together like a bank vault.
If this thing wasn't a dryer it would be a pick-up truck.
If you are like my wife and me and no-frills stuff this is the machine for you
Pros: Nothing good to be said about this product. Cons: Cheap, while not inexpensive based on the lack of quality. Noisy, ineffective.
I bought this dryer, new, in a Roper washer/dryer set from Lowes and have never been less satisfied. The dryer doesn't dry. I've checked all of the repair sites and they say check the vent and the heat element. Both are working but the dryer still takes twice as long to dry, even light weight clothes, than any other appliance I've used. And, it is ridiculously noisy. Our laundry room is off the family room. The noise of doing laundry now precludes other family activities, e.g., TV, games, naps, etc. I wish I could get my money back and apply it to something that works.
