    Pros: Good reputation
Cons: Heat never shut off on our model, customer service not helpful

Summary: I purchased a Pelonis Disc Furnace Model HC-451 in September (via Ace Hardware on line) after extensively researching online and reading product reviews. I chose it because of its compact size (about 9 inches square), the fact that the company only ... read more

Pros: small; light; high throughput fan; easy to point where you want it
    Cons: cord gets very hot

Pros: Excellent thermostat control, small, quiet, efficient.
    Cons: none

Summary: After reviewing a number of space heaters on epinions, I decided to try a Pelonis due to the good things I have read and, their reputation. When you first look at the unit, you notice its diminutive size. It's approx. an 8" cube and, you wonder ... read more

Pros: Heater seems to work ok when not on fire.
    Cons: Fire Hazzard.

Summary: I turned the heater on overnight in my motorhome. I was awakened during the night by the smoke alarm going off, and found  the heater on fire. I purchased the heater at Camping World thinking it was a quality product. I will think twice ... read more

Pros: easy to set up anywhere, impressive heat output.
    Cons: noisy, filter clogs easily

Summary: I've had this heater for years (perhaps 5). It appeared in my parents basement one day already dented and scratched, so I started using it to heat my workbench. It puts out plenty of heat, noticeably more than other 1500W units I've encountered. ... read more

Cons: The unit started to burn.

Summary: We bought this in 2004 for a guest room which has no heat, and have only needed to use it occasionally since then. Yesterday our guest said he had had it on for 4 hours in the early morning and noticed an electrical burning smell. He looked at the ... read more

Pros: Compact size & quiet operation.
Cons: Continues to run on low heat 24/7 even when temperature is attained, negating advertised efficiency.

Summary: Have the HC-451 and older top model HC-461. The older model is series 0407 and is a great area heater. I obtained two more heaters from the direct distribution point in Texas. When units came (series 0607), I discovered that the heat would not shut off. ... read more
