Pros: Easy assembly, large cooking surface, beautiful appearance Cons: I should have bought it sooner
This year my wife and I decided to upgrade our patio and grill set. In the case of our grill, we were moving away from a very basic "Fiesta" grill, that had clearly run out of gas (in more ways than one).
Pros: Smartly designed
Stainless steel where it counts
Quality over quantity
large work surfaces
Hot! Cons: Proprietary tool holder
Plastic wheels (noisy and seem fragile)
This grill is my first attempt at buying a "keeper" type grill that I can develop a long term cook/appliance relationship with. My last three grills were all disposable Charbroils, at about $120 each, give or take, and although I paid $479 for this grill ...
Pros: It meets or exceeds all reasonable expectations for an outdoor grill. Cons: DANGER, young children can be severely injured by this grill, the top gets unbelievably hot!
For a few decades, I've bought various outdoor grills from Sears, Walmart, and elsewhere... usually I was happy on first or second cook, but over time, either the same year or the following year something (usually somethings) would start to go wrong. ...
Pros: Even heating, durable and very versatile Cons: My expensive indoor cooking appliances get less use
I purchased the Weber Genesis Gold C Grill this August and have been waiting for cold weather in order to complete my assessment of the product. Well, very cold weather has arrived so here it goes
Pros: Cooks and looks great. Cons: Some assembly required
Cooks as good as it looks. Has Excellent temperature control with the 3 burner design. Heats up really fast, and
I really like the fact that you can bbq on LOW and SLOW on this grill without burning your food or flare ups. The side burner is really...
Pros: Even Grilling, Great Look, Outstanding Construction, Simple to put together Cons: Not a lot of tool storage.
After much research, I decided on the new model Weber Genesis Gold C Grill. The new 2002 models have a stainless steel hood, burners, grates, and flavorizer bars, which gives the Gold C a more expensive and beefed up look compared to the Genesis Silver...
Pros: Easy to Use, best value for the money. Cons: A value, but not cheap. Prefer quick connect tank.
After much review, just bought one. Had 2 Ducane's previously, with many problems on the second.
Comparison/Basics: Three horizontal burners, plus one side burner. The gold B does not have the side burner. Although the Gold C is more expensive...
Pros: A superior level of quality and performance Cons: My fingers are still getting used to the sharp undersides of the cooking grids
This is my first Weber. I spent years grilling on store brands and was comfortable replacing reasonably affordable grills after a few years of service. When my local hardware store offered free assembly, free delivery and a free tank of propane with any...
Pros: Excellent construction, large cooking area, even heating. Cons: plan to spend some time on assembly, expensive.
As one who's gone from your basic bargin basement gas grill (no name), to a name brand (sunbeam), then another name brand (thermos), and never quite finding the grill that worked just right, I went for broke on a Weber.
Pros: Perfect steaks, great quality makes this grill a good value even though its expensive. Cons: Very expensive, few additional features over much less expensive Weber Genesis Silver-C. Cheap wheels
I purchased this grill after burning my last bratwurst on my prior Char-broil. I had many years experience with a weber charcoal grill and was always impressed by the design and build quality of that grill. Weber seems to put a lot of time into...
Pros: Made in the USA. Quality Parts. Fast Even Cooking. Cons: Cons???? Need more time to grill on this baby.
We recently purchased a Weber Genesis grill. At first we were reluctant because of the price. After talking to several friends that own Weber's we decided to take the plunge. We've burned up 3 less expensive gas grills in the last 8 years and were...
Pros: Great Quality,Heats incredibly fast
Removeable Accurate Temp Gauge,Double walled Stainless Top, Tank Fill Gauge
Cons: -Stainless Grills are hard to clean
-Warming Racks are very small
I was interested in a premium BBQ that I could depend on for many years to come. I researched the market quite extensively and all roads led to Weber. I was initially evaluating the Silver B but I felt that the construction of the lid felt very flimsy for a BBQ at this price point. I did like all of the other features that were less asthestic. I was then led to look at the Gold Series. This BBQ looked for better with the stainless steel trim and the handle felt much more robust. It looked and felt like a $1000CDN BBQ. I fired it up last night and enjoyed every morsel of my purchase.

Pros: Sturdy, nice appearance. Cons: Burns at much too high a temperature.
This Stainless Steel grill is my second Weber gas grille. The first one, the original Genesis B, was a great grill that I used for over 10 years (replacing several parts along the way). I finally "upgraded" to the Gold C about a year ago, and have been very unsuccessful in cooking properly with this one. It burns much too hot, in my opinion. On MMM, it pegs the thermometer in a couple of minutes. Anything that I try to cook over direct heat catches fire in seconds. This is not a grill cleaning issue, but a burner/manifold issue in my opinion. I've called the Weber service department several times, and they always tell me to try it longer, in order to build up carbon in the hood. They won't admit that there is a problem, but I know other people who share my experience.
Cooking as it should be done! by gravy11 ,Mar 14 '04
Pros: Cooking and preparation space; 1 try start; Produces great tasting food Cons: Price; Cleaning
This grill simply rocks for the $ involved. I too had dreams of a Viking grill, but honestly, I'm not Jack Tripper and I had no intentions of cooking full blown cows on this thing. I was going to get the Silver edition, but my ever thrifty wife, pointed me toward the Gold. I can tell you that it is awesome. It starts on the first shot and cooks great. It is easy to clean and frankly you get a lot of space to work with. I broke it in with a barbeque last summer and I was able to cook 12-15 burgers at a time and 8 hot dogs as well. It also has a bun warmer. It is a great purchase and I highly recommend it.
Only drawback is that the flavor savor bars (the actual grill plate you cook on) is a pain to clean. But I mean, seriously, if you use soap and water right after cooking, you'll be fine. A tip! Always clean the grill right after cooking. Everything comes off easier when the grill is still hot.
Pros: handle stays cool even when grill is smoking hot.customer service is tops in the industry. Cons: Tool storage is too close to the propane tank.Tools rest against tank.
this is my third weber grill over the last thirty years. It's, for sure, high end.Loved the side burner, you can not beat it in the hot months. The storage shelf on the bottom is ample.Has good even cooking.Would definitely recommend this grill.
