My moving experience with UPack has just begun, and I'm already very disappointed. They dropped the truck off on time, but when I called them to pick it up they said they were short staffed and couldn't come get it. They said they would call the next morning and get it then. They didn't call. When I called them, they said they were running behind, and they might be able to get it the second day. I called the 1-800 customer service number and was told they were doing their best. Every day they delay picking up the truck is a day that my things will be delayed in getting to my new residence. UPack blames the weather, but we've had clear roads here for two days. I WOULD NOT USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!!!!

Pros: No gas. No driving. No worrying.
Cons: Its out of your control so pack your stuff well

I used ABF in the Fall when moving from Ohio to Florida. Did one pod. The customer service was PHENOMINAL with these guys. Everything went off without a hitch. There was a slight delay in picking up the trailor from Ohio, but it was also around the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything arrived in one piece. I am now using them again for a move back, and am going to use a trailor this time. Will update when I get done. Pricewise, these folks could not be beat. 1700 dollars to move three bedrooms and a month of storage?!?!? Uhaul wanted 1500 just for a truck...No way. As long as this second move goes well, I will ALWAYS recommend ABF.

Pros: CHEAP VERY nice You track your ReloCube like a package!
Cons: Couldn't get it open(I am just 5'1'', so it could just be me)

I quoted everywhere to move from FL to MO. The cheapest I found was 2000, and that wasn't including so many things such as gas, insurance, TIME, etc. I saw an ABF semi go by and looked them up online, I was SO excited to see a quote under 1000!!!! Most places (Uhaul, etc) quoted 2500, including nothing, ABF quoted and charged 990 for a relocube!

I will be honest, when it arrived at my door I almost cried because it looked incredibly small. That night I started moving stuff in to see what it could fit and I was just amazed! We moved a 1 bed apartment with it! (we didn't take a couch, but we had enough stuff in there to fill a whole 1 bed apartment and then some when we arrived at the other one. Pack boxes at the back and pack them high! Once you do you can fit so much stuff because it is 8 feet high!

Pros: Great employees, hard working, understanding, and very easy to work with.
Cons: No Cons!

Moving is stressful, but ABF made it easy! I moved from a different state, and had to make changes to my service. Every one I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful, and the people I encountered in person were truly delightful! George, the driver who dropped off my Relo-cubes, did an amazing job considering the very challenging street he had to work with. Chris at the Oakland Terminal also did a fabulous job getting everything set up for me. My move was very stressful, but ABF was a stress free experience.

I WISH THERE WERE A REFERRAL PROGRAM FOR NEW CUSTOMERS, BECAUSE I COULD BE RICH. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND U-PACK TO ANYONE I KNOW MAKING A SMALL OR LONG-DISTANCE MOVE. NOT ONLY WAS THE PRICE IN MY BUDGET, BUT NICK AND NATALIE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE (GEORGIA TERMINAL), MADE ME FEEL LIKE MY MOVE WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO THEM. I HAD PUT OFF THIS MOVE FROM NY TO GEORGIA FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS BUT U-PACK HELPED ME MAKE THAT DECISION WITHIN MINUTES FROM THE ON-LINE QUOTE. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

I requested a move with ABF and was given a quote and due date. A week before my move, they changed availability two weeks into the future. Not only do I need to make hasty plans to find a new mover. I'm pretty upset with the lack of responsibility.

Pros: Pricing, ease of use, personnel and so sum it up the entire experience was GREAT!!!
Cons: There were NONE!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you and your entire staff for the wonderful job they all did in assisting me in my move. I have moved three times in the past 7 years and this was by far the best experience EVER. The reservation was very easy, the pricing was GREAT and all the staff was very helpful. The driver and staff at the Tyler terminal and the staff at the Jackson terminal all did an excellent job. I cannot begin to express my thanks in making this stressful event very relaxing. Everyone did just as they said they would and the delivery was very timely, etc. Thank you again for a WONDERFUL moving experience.

We recently moved 1200 miles across the country and after getting quotes from many companies, we decided on U-Pack for our move, based on the price and flexibility of the service and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a long-distance move and have friends who can help you load the truck. We took the advice of many on this board and purchased quilted packing blankets for valuable furniture and cheap blankets and comforters we bought at Wal-mart to put between other pieces to keep them from rubbing against each other. We also purchased ratchet straps to stabilize the load. I also recommend wrapping all mattresses and boxsprings in plastic to provide maximum protection. Through my workplace, I purchased stretch wrap to hold closed all drawers and doors on furniture. Our quote was for 21' originally, but we wound up using the entire truck. We have four kids and would never fit everything a U-haul truck. The only damage we had was a small particle board shelf that was placed at the bottom of the stack and could not handle the weight. Make sure these items are put on top and items are padded to avoid rubbing.

Pros: Price, customer service, prompt
Cons: You have to load yourself- but you know that ahead of time!

U-Pack was prompt and very accomodating. Every request I made was honored. I would use them again, especially for a small shipment. Very reasonably priced for a cross-country move.

Pros: Easy, smooth, cubes are good size, competitive price.
Cons: none that I found

I just want to say thank you to ABF for it's ReloCube service. I have moved many times and have utilized many different services. ABF was the best though, from the staff in Portland OR and St. Louis MO. As well as the staff who handle the reservations, I liked being able to track the progress of my cube. The best thing though is that my cube was delivered 3 days earlier than estimated allowing me to get my house set in advance of me moving in for good.

Pros: affordable, great customer service, fast and trackable
Cons: it's a rough ride for your belongings, pack well

I moved my belongings from Vermont to CA in one relocube. The customer service was great, it was nice to be able to track my belongings as they went across country and it arrived in less than one week. I would highly recommend them to people who do not have expensive, non replaceable furniture and goods. I had very little damage, but I pack and load a truck very well. I will use them again in the future.

Pros: ABF is organized, polite, affordable, helpful and our ONLY choice for moving in the future.
Cons: Sorry, we don't have any cons!

My family and I have use ABF for four different moves... usually across about one-half the country. We have requested bids from other movers the first two times but their rates were, on the average, triple the cost over ABF U-Pack Moving. The last two times we just went on-line and went only to ABF...gave them the moving info and within 12 hours we had our rate (shamefully affordable) and all the help any potential moving family could want. I really want to stay settled for some time now...but when it comes time to move again...we will ONLY call ABF U-Pack. I wish they would let me give my name and phone number as I would have no problem giving anyone a personal recommendation. Steve

Pros: Unbeatable price, flexibility, and customer service.
Cons: ABF's trailers do not have cushy suspension--a little extra padding might be helpful.

We've used ABF for two moves with their trailers, and both were great experiences. ABF kept every promise they made, and they were very flexible with changes in our plans

On our first move, we found the cost with ABF was less than renting a U-Haul truck, not even counting for fuel, hotels, meals, etc. When someone bought most of our furniture and our load decreased from 22 feet to 8 feet of trailer space, there was no penalty, only a huge savings in shipping costs. On our second move, we had some date changes, and ABF lowered the price when I asked them to drop the trailer off a day earlier than initially requested.

We found every person we dealt with at ABF courteous and helpful.

I highly recommend them.

On the second move, we hired a company to load and unload the truck for us. They did not pad and stack as carefully and there was some damage.

Pros: WONDERFUL customer service and VERY accommodating to personal needs
Cons: Relocubes stored two months and, no fault of U-Pack's, stuff didn't fare well in heat

Last week I completed my cross-country U-Pack move and there were several complicated factors involved on my end so I ended up speaking to several ABF representatives from various distribution centers to ABF's central office. With this in mind, never once did I have an unpleasant experience with any of them. In fact, my experience with the ABF company as a whole was quite the opposite. Every single person I came in contact with at ABF not only gave the utmost customer service but they were extremely personable, a trait that is not only very rare these days but practically extinct in customer service as a whole. To be able to find a company such as ABF to help me with such a demanding move during such a difficult time in my life was truly a blessing. The process was easier than I had ever imagined and more accommodating to my needs than I have grown accustomed to in this fast-paced world. ABF is a wonderful company and, if the services that ABF offers are required by me anytime in the future, ABF will be my first and only choice.

Cons: You have to pack and load.

I recently used ABF U-Pack moving for a move from Puerto Rico to Miami Beach Florida. I can't say enough good things about this moving comapany. I got my all of my items in record time and in excellent condition. I did have one casualty but that was because we did not pack it right. Do Not hesitate to use them. They are couteous and very helpful and most impressive is that they arrived on time. The best moving experience I have ever had.
