ABF U-Pack Moving

Pros: There ARE no pros. I would never use this company again, nor recommend them.
Cons: The cost was reasonable but obviously, the quality was not.

The movers who were hired through this company completely destroyed my daughter's brand new Maytag refrigerator. It was an expensive one. She'd had it less than 2 weeks when we moved. They broke off the handle and recklessly dented the entire bottom half, then to hide the fact, packed it in the very back of the trailer so we didn't even see it until the household goods were unloaded at destination. Obviously, they DID break it because now it is leaking water all over the floor. These movers were hired through Moving Staffers.com & their name is Adams Moving, Nashville, TN. When my daughter called them to inquire when we could expect them to replace the refrigerator, the response was ugly and rude by the owner. He refused to talk to her & told her there was nothing we could do & that we could not prove anything. Now that we've found all the paperwork, we are moving forward with a formal complaint. Movers who damage customer's household goods should be made accountable. This is not right.
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU HIRE! This was obviously a huge & expensive mistake for us.

i HAD AN ANTIQUE DESK PACKED BY FRIENDS IN BUFFALO AND SHIPPED TO ME HERE IN AIKEN, S.C. BY ABF U-PACK. FROM BEGINNING DESTINATION AND ITS FINAL RESTING PLACE IN MY HOME, ABF DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 3 DAYS. THEY WERE AT THE BEGINNING LOCATION WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE AND ARRIVED EXACTLY ON TIME. IT MADE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE VERY EASY. IF YOU WANT PROFESSIONAL MOVERS WHO CARE ABOUT YOU, DON'T HESITATE TO USE THIS COMPANY. OF COURSE, AS THE NAME IMPLIES, YOU DO ALL THE PACKING AND UNLOADING. I HOPE THEY DO WELL. AND THE PRICE WAS A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS CHEAPER THAN SOME OF THE BIG NAMES, E.G. BIG BROWN, U.P.S. USE THEM. YOU'LL BE VERY SATISFIED.

Pros: Cheap, but there is a reason.  The boxes are built well.
Cons: Our living supplies did not arrive when they were scheduled to.

I relocated from Salt Lake City, UT to Pittsburgh, PA for work purposes.  We had it packed by 10 am the day they needed to pick it up, called them and they didn't pick it up until after 5:00 pm that night.  At the arrival terminal they received it the scheduled delivery day despite that, but would not drop it off.  This cost us the entire weekend without so much as our beds!  They ended up costing us more than what it would have cost us to go a more expensive route and make sure it would have been here on time.

Pros: Easy to use, cost effective, efficient, on time, extraordinary, outstanding communication!
Cons: None!  Not a one!

I wanted to take some time this evening to say thank you to ABF and the whole UPack team!! I am finding it difficult to find adequate words to describe the incredible experience that I enjoyed using UPack for my recent move from New Hartford, NY to Charlotte, NC.  Every single detail of the entire arrangement was handled with extraordinary ease, professionalism and accuracy!  From the ease of making my reservation online at your website, to my interaction with your dispatchers right down to the drivers that I worked with, every single part of the transaction exuded a level of customer service that I had thought was long gone from American business.  Honestly, I cannot think of a single thing that you could have done any better.  UPack made the transportation of my household goods a smooth, fast, efficient and extremely cost effective experience and I want to thank every single member of your organization for what is likely the most satisfying business transaction I have ever conducted!!!!!  My hat is off to each and every one of you!

I recently moved from Boston to Colorado Springs.  As this was my first long distance move, I did quite a bit of research before finally deciding on ABF.  I did have one advantage in that my boyfriend had used this company 2 months before my move.
From my initial phone call to the point of picking up my things, the process was great.  The people were very helpful in giving all of the options (of which there are many) and the pricing. 
My only complaint is that there was some damage to an antique dresser.  Given that we packed the truck ourselves, I cannot blame ABF, although there was also some water damage to the same piece.

I would highly recommend this trucking company!!!

I highly recommend ABF U-PACK, they made my move easy. Needless to say, moving is a very stressful experience,  moving with ABF U-PACK made me realize I had nothing to worry about. Right from the start, the price quoted was half the price of conventional movers. No hidden charges or fees, you pay only for the space you need. This is one of the many things I like about ABF U-PACK; I am in control of my move. The trailer arrived on time; the driver was friendly & courteous. When I arrived at my new home, I experienced the same prompt, courteous service. ABF U-PACK is a Company you can TRUST.

I am compelled to write and let you know how impressed I am with the customer service I have received thus far...especially from Rick (driver) and Dave (dispatch) at the Denver terminal. Not only were they in TOTAL communication with me, they were prompt and professional. They both eased my mind and lowered my stress when I called and asked silly questions about packing my cube!!
I hope the rest of my experience is as enjoyable as it has started out to be!! Moving is stressful enough and having good people such as Rick and Dave sure helps eliminate that stress!! They sure have set the bar high!!!
I will recommend ABF UPACK to any one I find out is moving with out a doubt. on top of the great service I feel price is very reasonable.

Pros: They did deliver the empty trailer when they said they would.  Downhill since then.
Cons: 10 days for an 800-mile move?  Hotels and meals ate any savings.

This is a business ABF should not be in. They have no customer focus whatsoever. Our "3 business days" move has now stretched out to 10. For a move of less than 800 miles! Our trailer spends far more time sitting in terminals waiting to be transferred than actually moving on the road. You may think you're saving money by using them, but factor in the hotel bills, the restaurant bills, and the considerable inconvenience of waiting and waiting and waiting for your belongings to show up, and it winds up costing you more. If I had used a U-Haul (or equivalent) truck, my belongings would have been at my new house before ABF even picked up the trailer from in front of my old house! Yeah, I hate driving those things, especially towing a car, but it would have been over and done with long ago. Oh, and the bulkhead they provided to separate our stuff from the rest of the trailer? Broken. Never again. Remember, friends don't let friends use ABF U-Pack Moving.

We just moved to USA and I called PODs and ABF, well ABF was a winner. Price was good, service was fantastic. I will always use the. They actual have e-mail address. i communicated with them via e-mail while I was on the road.

We used a Relo Cube to ship family antiques from Georgia to our daughter in Houston, Texas.  ABF service was excellent on both ends--timely delivery and pick-up of cube.  It was so much better and cheaper than renting a truck and driving.  The cube was easy to load and secure and contents arrived in perfect condition.  Tracking on the computer was a plus.  Everyone we talked to with the company either by telephone or in person was courteous and knowledgeable.  Great experience!

I recently moved from California to Michigan. ABF U-Pack service was excellent and very affordable. The relo-cube held all my things well, the delivery was on time and convenient, and the driver was very courteous. I will recommend this system to persons considering long distance moves. My husband and I were moving a 3 bed, 2 bath house from one state to another.  We used 4 ReloCubes.  The customer service rep that sent me the quote (Quincee) was helpful and professional.  Answered all my questions.  The guy that dropped off the cubes was early, fast, and very helpful.  I called for them to pick up the cubes and they were picked up that day.  The cubes were easy to track on the website. When the cubes arrived at our destination the guy that dropped them off was very helpful and polite.  We kept in contact with him all day (he could only deliver two cubes at a time).  I was very happy with ABF U-Pack.  On a side note, I don't recommend loading or unloading the cubes yourself, get some help.  That wasn't ABF U-Pack's fault though, they were awesome.

Cons: Loading the stuff yourself (which might be a problem for some?)

I'd recommend looking at this as a possible option for moving. I looked at everything and this was by far the most economical way to move a small load across country. Overall considering other options I saved about 500.00.

Pros: Least expensive; great customer service; door-to-door service
Cons: If not packed properly/securely, items can be damaged - which is normal.

I initially went with ABF U-Pack because of the price, the size of the company, and their reputation.  I was very pleased to discover that the process was very easy and everyone that I have dealt with had great customer service.... which can be very difficult to find these days.  I would give them the highest rating because of their customer service and the fact that nobody can beat their price.

Pros: reasonable price, convenient pick-up and delivery, flexible schedule, very friendly employees
Cons: hard work to load the trailer, but U-Pack's website has lots of helpful suggestions.

ABF U-Pack provided outstanding service in our recent move from MI to NY. They were friendly and helpful way beyond the call of duty. A man from the company visited our townhouse area to determine the best place to park the trailer for loading. During transportation, we were able to follow the location of of the trailer on the Internet. We wanted and got delivery on a Friday, which meant a few day's wait for the company. We were even able to reschedule drop-off of the trailer at the last minute. Further, when it turned out that the trailer could not be parked at our house over the weekend as planned, the driver helped out with the unloading (did 2/3 of the work). The ramp was complimentary. I don't see how anybody could do better. Grade: A++
