ABF U-Pack Moving

Pros: everything- especially the price and the speed of transit
Cons: nothing at all was a con

Everything happened just as they promised. They were on time. Everyone we encountered from the drivers to the dispatchers was friendly and helpful. Our stuff showed up almost a week earlier than the original estimate so we had our things in just 4 days- and we moved from California to Missouri! The quote was thousands less than PODS and about half of what Uhaul would have been- not to mention the gas we'd have to buy for the Uhaul and the hassle of driving it 1800 miles ourselves.

The loading was easy with the ramp and we were able to tie down our things ourselves and put up a barricade wall. We could have used our own padlock on the barricade wall but we chose not to. When the truck arrived, we knew no one had gone through our things because the tie down was exactly as we had done it.

Unbelievable service, quality and price!

Pros: Cost (compared to PODs), not driving, timing, staff helpful and easy to reach
Cons: Large trailer. Trailer bed higher than a UHaul.  The ramp is long.  Appliance dolly recommended.

U-Pack was almost as good a price as driving a truck would have been, but it was much easier.  It was much cheaper than PODs would have been.  We only used 13' instead of the 16' we'd reserved.  U-Pack refunded us almost $300 for the difference.  That's rare.  The drivers on both end were skilled and helpful, too.

Pros: Lots of options, good price, very helpful.
Cons: Risk of damage...

I recently moved from Boston to Colorado Springs.  As this was my first long distance move, I did quite a bit of research before finally deciding on ABF.  I did have one advantage in that my boyfriend had used this company 2 months before my move.
From my initial phone call to the point of picking up my things, the process was great.  The people were very helpful in giving all of the options (of which there are many) and the pricing. 
My only complaint is that there was some damage to an antique dresser.  Given that we packed the truck ourselves, I cannot blame ABF, although there was also some water damage to the same piece.

I would highly recommend this trucking company!!!

Pros: Least expensive; great customer service; door-to-door service
Cons: If not packed properly/securely, items can be damaged - which is normal.

I initially went with ABF U-Pack because of the price, the size of the company, and their reputation.  I was very pleased to discover that the process was very easy and everyone that I have dealt with had great customer service.... which can be very difficult to find these days.  I would give them the highest rating because of their customer service and the fact that nobody can beat their price.

I am compelled to write and let you know how impressed I am with the customer service I have received thus far...especially from Rick (driver) and Dave (dispatch) at the Denver terminal. Not only were they in TOTAL communication with me, they were prompt and professional. They both eased my mind and lowered my stress when I called and asked silly questions about packing my cube!!
I hope the rest of my experience is as enjoyable as it has started out to be!! Moving is stressful enough and having good people such as Rick and Dave sure helps eliminate that stress!! They sure have set the bar high!!!
I will recommend ABF UPACK to any one I find out is moving with out a doubt. on top of the great service I feel price is very reasonable.

We used a Relo Cube to ship family antiques from Georgia to our daughter in Houston, Texas.  ABF service was excellent on both ends--timely delivery and pick-up of cube.  It was so much better and cheaper than renting a truck and driving.  The cube was easy to load and secure and contents arrived in perfect condition.  Tracking on the computer was a plus.  Everyone we talked to with the company either by telephone or in person was courteous and knowledgeable.  Great experience!

I wanted to take some time this evening to say thank you to ABF and the whole UPack team!! I am finding it difficult to find adequate words to describe the incredible experience that I enjoyed using UPack for my recent move from New Hartford, NY to Charlotte, NC.  Every single detail of the entire arrangement was handled with extraordinary ease, professionalism and accuracy!  From the ease of making my reservation online at your website, to my interaction with your dispatchers right down to the drivers that I worked with, every single part of the transaction exuded a level of customer service that I had thought was long gone from American business.  Honestly, I cannot think of a single thing that you could have done any better.  UPack made the transportation of my household goods a smooth, fast, efficient and extremely cost effective experience and I want to thank every single member of your organization for what is likely the most satisfying business transaction I have ever conducted!!!!!  My hat is off to each and every one of you!

I'd recommend looking at this as a possible option for moving. I looked at everything and this was by far the most economical way to move a small load across country. Overall considering other options I saved about 500.00.

I recently moved from California to Michigan. ABF U-Pack service was excellent and very affordable. The relo-cube held all my things well, the delivery was on time and convenient, and the driver was very courteous. I will recommend this system to persons considering long distance moves. We just moved to USA and I called PODs and ABF, well ABF was a winner. Price was good, service was fantastic. I will always use the. They actual have e-mail address. i communicated with them via e-mail while I was on the road.

i HAD AN ANTIQUE DESK PACKED BY FRIENDS IN BUFFALO AND SHIPPED TO ME HERE IN AIKEN, S.C. BY ABF U-PACK. FROM BEGINNING DESTINATION AND ITS FINAL RESTING PLACE IN MY HOME, ABF DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 3 DAYS. THEY WERE AT THE BEGINNING LOCATION WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE AND ARRIVED EXACTLY ON TIME. IT MADE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE VERY EASY. IF YOU WANT PROFESSIONAL MOVERS WHO CARE ABOUT YOU, DON'T HESITATE TO USE THIS COMPANY. OF COURSE, AS THE NAME IMPLIES, YOU DO ALL THE PACKING AND UNLOADING. I HOPE THEY DO WELL. AND THE PRICE WAS A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS CHEAPER THAN SOME OF THE BIG NAMES, E.G. BIG BROWN, U.P.S. USE THEM. YOU'LL BE VERY SATISFIED.

Pros: Service was exactly as promised.  Freight was secured from access by others.
Cons: Billed for using 17', but only used 16'.  ABF issuing a credit.

Truck arrived and delivered as promised.  Price competitive and does not use third parties to move the freight.  PODs would not deliver to destination location.  Movex uses some third parties and would not guarantee my freight would be in the nose.  ABF gave me the nose and placed a bulkhead between my freight and anything else on the trailer.  ABF also gave me three days at origin and three days at destination to load/unload.  The other company I was looking at would only give me 8 hours and it was not guaranteed they would be there at an exact time.  ABF was a little move money, but I believe it was well worth it.
