Pros: cheap, short shipping time Cons: bad Boston customer service, lock was broken upon arrival, "forgot" ramp, small
I don't know why UPack advertises it's mobile containers as able to accommodate one room of furnishings when all we were able to get into the crate was our bed and dresser. We had to leave many things behind due to this. For the price, the ...

Pros: Good service, lower price, no horror stories about movers holding household goods for ransom. Cons: Ended up being significantly more expensive than I expected.
I really wanted to get a rental truck and drive my stuff to the new city myself. But the wear and tear is a lot, especially driving through the mountains in a big, unfamiliar vehicle.
Trust movers with my stuff? Not really. Moving scams are...

Pros: - Friendly flexible people at the depots
- Flexibility in the room you actually need Cons: - Ran down and inferior equipment
- Ridiculously low liability limits
We moved from CA to MA in summer 2006 and had a full 28-foot trailer. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way, why ABF is so inexpensive. With a few family heirlooms destroyed and >$3500 of damage that we have to swallow I would never use them again. ...

Pros: Low cost, excellent customer service, charge based on volume not weight. Cons: None.
My fiancee and I were moving to California. We were considering several different options for our move. We were thinking about full-service, but we're both incredible control freaks, and we weren't comfortable with strangers packing and moving (and losi ...

Pros: cheaper than movers, on time Cons: trailer not adequate for securing load
I just finished moving from L.A. to Boston with ABF. Some things were very good -- everything was on time at every stage of the process, and everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Most of my stuff made it OK, but there was some damage to ...

Pros: Great customer service. Prompt delivery. Friendly staff. Right-on estimate. Cons: Getting ramp at destination.
I was surprised to find a move-it-yourself outfit that would move my goods from Colorado to Edmonton, Canada (1400 miles). ABF fit the bill...literally. Their rates were $1500 US for a full 28 feet of trailer space. This is the same price as a U-Haul 26...

Pros: they drive, the people are great, reasonable prices Cons: things get bounced around, and the "satellite" offices are hard to get ahold of
I had a mostly good experience with this company, but i can't stress enough how important it is to pack carefully. I think any problems are probably the packer's fault. It is a lot of work. I had to deliver and pick up my stuff because i lived and was ...

Pros: Excellent customer service, great value for the money Cons: Parking a large trailer on the street may not be legal. Call your police department.
I found ABF/U-Pack to be great value for the money, and provided excellent customer service. I could not have a trailer delivered to my apartment because of parking rules, and ABF had an option to pack my belongings at their facility. Every ...

Pros: Customer Service, length of time on moving shipment, saving a lot of money Cons: Loading/unloading twice. If you don't mind doing this- it is well worth it.
I felt writing a review was the right thing to do after spending a great deal of time reading reviews on this very site concerning ABF/U Pack. I recently moved from LA to Atlanta with U Pack. I read up on how to prepare and pack everything very ...

Pros: Great customer service. New and very clean truck. Cons: Bulk head pain to install. It collasped during transit no items damaged
We moved from Indiana to Arizona in July 2005. We are with a mission organization and have moved about six or seven times in the last nine years. We have always rented a Budget or Ryder truck and moved ourselves. It has always been very stressful and we ...

Pros: Great service
Friendly drivers
No damage to items
Very affordable
Cons: None at all in this man's experience.
I was skeptical. I made calls, I browsed the web, I talked to friends. I didn't want to get scammed by a cheap fly by night operation. And so I used ABF. My wife and I moved from Baltimore to Albuquerque. The day before our move, a blizzard rolled ...

Pros: Did not have to drive a rental truck. Cons: Did not deliver in time stated on contract. Rude customer service.
I just moved from PA to FL last week and I figured U-Pack would be a good alternative. In PA the trailer was dropped off at 7PM and we were told it would be there "early afternoon". I took the day off on Thursday to start loading and missed a day of work...
