You know you grow up with those old Maytag commercials, you know the poor repair man who never has any work because Maytag's never break. So you spend all your hard earned money to someday afford the God almighty Maytag, and guess what, it is broken more then it is fixed. Over the years I have had no name refrigerators, Admiral it particular. It lasted 20 years without a problem. My new Maytag side by side, broke after on year. First the ice maker, then the water control, now after 5 years later it leaks all over the floor, and the refrigerator compartment does not get cold. Oh and the service, Maytag was horrible. Even though the ice make caught on fire in the door of my freezer, they didn’t' want to hear it. When I got a private service man, he told me in no uncertain terms that Maytag is aware of the problem but they don't care. I would never buy another Maytag, unless reviews show that they have had a major overall in their customer service , and a equal improvement in their products.
