Pros: A really nice addition for the kitchen. You can make a meal in this. Cons: This one is harder for travel than a traditional crock pot.
I trust West Bend. The company is named for the town where the company is headquarted, West Bend, Wisconsin. When the pocketbook plant burned down in 1911, six men put out $1000 each to get this company started up so that local folks would have jobs....

Pros: Versatile, light weight but sturdy, easy to clean Cons: none
Although I don't cook large meals frequently, I own three crock pots and I use every one of them when I cook Christmas Eve dinner each year. Depending upon whether or not my sister and her family of five comes, I have as many as 26 to 30 people eating a...

Pros: Adjustable Heat, Removable Pot, Base is Also Griddle, Non-Stick Cons: Non-Stick Coating nicks easily, Heat-adjustment Knob gets Hot
The first attempts I made at cooking were less than stellar. I would overcook the heck out of chicken, burgers, you name it (fear of undercooking, you know). The first really good dish that I made was in this slow-cooker.
I'm not saying that...

Pros: Lightweight, Teflon coated, the base is a griddle, removable cord Cons: The Teflon is easily scratched, short cord, difficult to clean the base
I must admit that when I received this slow cooker for a wedding gift, I did not know what it was. I was unfamiliar with slow cookers, having grown up in a crock pot home. But being a curious new wife, I set out to learn about the wonders of slow...

Pros: Griddle base, 5 temperature controls, light weight, stores away easily Cons: Pondering whether plastic lid is a con, Temperature knob gets hot to the touch
NOTE: This review is based on model 84600 which is not listed in Epinions. I found that this is the closest model listed. In fact, I can not find a single difference between the two models.
I purchased my West Bend 4qt Slow Cooker...

Pros: Versatile, easy to use. Cons: none
I received my slow cooker as a wedding gift seven years ago and it's still one of my favorite appliances. I use this at least 2 times per week to make meals for my family.
You can use the slow cooker to make ANYTHING you want, I use it...

Pros: non-stick inside, informative booklet, no stirring, just leave it and go Cons: I wish it was bigger
My fiancee and I received the West Bend 4 quart slow cooker for Christmas this year. I don't know how I ever lived without it! :) The 4 quart is perfect for a meal for 4, or for a meal for 2 with some leftovers.
The first meal I prepared in...

Pros: light-weight, non-stick, multiple heat settings Cons: exterior gets warmer than crock pots
I have owned the West Bend 4 cup slow cooker for approximately 3 years. I have found it to be one of the most used pieces of equipment ever put into my kitchen! I rarely ever use my crock pot since discovering the slow cooker. Some of the benefits...

Pros: Lightweight & easy to use - can cook fast or slow Cons: None
This cooker is excellent to prepare a boneless ham, stew, soup, or roast. It is much lighter than a crock pot, but serves the same purpose. The only difference is that you can cook faster if necessary. I had a friend that had one, and I liked the looks...
