Pros: Compact, very fast, reduces/eliminates wastage, useful for other stuff (cocoa, tea, etc...) Cons: Lid is a little hard to remove
I've had it for about 3 months now with almost daily use, sometimes more than once a day. I did a fair amount of research before getting this and I am a happy customer. The device starts working VERY quickly and the water temperature is hot enough to ...

Pros: cheap, quick Cons: water trapped in filter cup, splashes, not hot enough
The Black & Decker "Brew N' Go" is meant for those of us rushing off every morning, bleary-eyed, to employment that used to be disparagingly referred to as "9 to 5." Now that the eight hour day has been abolished by our Corporate Overlords and replaced ...

Pros: Quick brew time, uses almost no counter space, extra cup included Cons: Only 1 lid included, maker drips when cup is removed
I just received the Black & Decker Brew N’ Go for my birthday. I never have had a single cup coffee maker before. This is because I have always been a traditional Mr. Coffee 10 cup loyalist, but after receiving my gift I wanted to try it out. Well I have...

Good if you need one cup fast
by sternlight ,Feb 12 '05
Pros: Fast, easy to use and clean. Fast cup from coffee of choice. Cons: Brewing a cup at a time does not produce the best coffee.
Mine works well either with the permanent filter or with Melitta @2 cone filters fit to the filter holder without the permanent filter.
The coffee is brewed at 204F according to my thermometer in the basket, which is within standard tolerance of ideal temperature. The spray head ix excellent with many holes giving complete wetting of the grounds.
One should not overfill the basket. 20g (about 1-1/2 standard coffee measures) of regular grind is about right; if you use paper filters you can use fine ground and there's a bit more room.
The taste is pretty good if you use good beans. I grind mine fresh from premium beans, but it makes acceptable coffee
from pre-ground Folgers Colombian as well.
This is a better choice than the faddish pod brewers since one can use the coffee beans of choice, freshly ground if one wishes.
