This is one of the worst consumer products I have ever used. First the switch broke then the carafe leaked from the bottom. We purchased this coffee maker because we like the thermal carafe design. We wanted a name brand so we went with Black and Decker. We have had nothing but trouble. The only positive I can say is that Applica Consumer Products has outstanding people on their consumer help line. I have spoken to several different people and they have been helpful and efficient.
