Pros: Really GREAT coffee, well constructed, easy to clean, inexpensive. Cons: Very Minor: Plastic inner-lid, no graduated markings.
Caff-fiend. That's the proper term to describe me. I enjoy a good cup of coffee almost as much as, well it's actually hard to describe it and stay 'PG'. That said, I've been searching for that perfect cup at home for a while now. My search has ...
Pros: Excellent coffee. Cons: It needs more attention than automatic machines.
The French Press, or press pot, is an example of simplicity that works wonders, and the Bodum Chambord is an example of that simplicity well executed. Combined with hot water, quality beans, and a good grinder the ...
Pros: Easy to make, reasonable cost, elegant service Cons: Won't keep coffee hot. Depends on the best coffee, ground perfectly right.
Introduction Some people consider the Bodum Chambord Press the "King" of coffee making methods. Now, this claim has been made by many coffee methods, for example: The Santos vacuum pot (a chem lab glass device that vacuums the brewed coffee ...

Pros: Really, REALLY good coffee. Cons: This is no fire-and-forget coffee machine.

Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Poorly designed filter mechanism with sharp, rough edges, flimsy construction of questionable origin
I have tried 3 different Bodum presses, and they werent worth writing home about. I used and returned their Chambord, Melior, and Bistro Nuevo models. Well, I didn't actually use the Melior; however, when I saw it was essentially a Chambord, I ...
Pros: It is easy to use. Cons: It was more expensive.
The metal frame "Chambord 1928" french press by Bodum is the best style that they make. It is elegant looking, easy to use and the size is perfect. I had the black plastic style of Bodum french press before, but it broke by accident and I, being a slave ...
Pros: Coffee as it was meant to be tasted! Cons: Beaker can scratch, filter and plunger must be taken apart for frequent cleaning
The French press has been around for decades in Europe, an easy alternative to pricier espresso machines and Italian stovetop Moka pots. Bodum is the foremost name in quality French press pots (styles include the Chambord, Brazil, Kenya, and Eileen), and ...
Great coffee for one and for very little money by epitestuser ,Jul 03 '07
Pros: small, cheap, stylish, and simple Cons: makes only one cup at a time. not good for a group of people.
I have one of these. I bought it instead of a more expensive, complicated and over-featured coffee maker because I generally make only one cup at a time. It is a great little press and costs nothing compared to a coffee maker, takes up little room and looks cool left out on the counter or up on a shelf. Also, it cleans up nicely by just running it through the dish washer.
