Cuisinart DGB-300 10-Cup Coffee Maker

Pros: Coffee tastes good.
Cons: Doesn't taste any better that any other coffee maker with fresh ground beans. Terrible design.

Where do I start:
Leaks. Impossible to clean. Needs 25% more coffee beans than our old Mr. Coffee to make the same cup of coffee. Makes the beans soggy if setup the night before thereby having grinds stick to the grinder making it necessary to clean the grinder every use. Difficult to pour the water into the top unless you're 7' tall. Impossible to avoid spilling beans without removing the grinder assembly. Programming is too complicated for words and does not hold when you unplug for the 1/2 hour cleaning job. Plastic parts are wearing out after 2 months.

Lousy design. Lousy quality control. Lousy instructions. Cuisinart should be ashamed to put their label on it.

Writing from our experience this coffee maker makes excellent coffee but I find its durability to be in question. After 1 1/2 years the grinder seized up and the coffee maker was replaced by Cuisinart for a $10 service charge.... less than a year later the unit has now quit making coffee altogether .... the grinder comes on and then the unit just quits.... never produces coffee. Great while it lasted .... not very reliable in our case.

Pros: When it was working it was a fine machine.
Cons: The coffee machine will not run it the top lid jumps open.

A small plastic part that locks down the lid broke. It simply slides out of its mount. I have tried all over the place to get a replacement part. None are available!
If anyone needs a part after buying this product, forget it.
Not too impressive small appliance.

Pros: Makes a good cup of coffee.
Cons: Very messy and requires too much cleaning.

This is without a doubt the worst product I have ever purchased. It is a modern inconvenience. The bean reservoir/grinder gets contaminated by water vapor during every brew cycle. As a result the bean reservoir must be thoroughly washed and dried between every brew. I spend far more time keeping this device clean than I ever did with my old coffee maker and a separate grinder. There are far better choices on the market for less money.

Pros: Fast brewing;convenient, easy to set timer; adjustable temp;audible beeps;no paper filter needed
Cons: none that I consider important

I won this coffee maker over 2 years ago but when it's needing to be replaced, I will definitely buy this same model again! At whatever the retail price is! It may be messy to clean but the dependability and wonderful coffee it makes are well worth any hassle. Im a coffee nut and Ive owned at least 10 different brands of coffee makers with a wide range of available features. Handy features mean nothing if the coffee is nasty. This machine makes such great coffee that I dont bother going through the drive-thrus anymore. Nothing else compares. The dependability is unmatched too. It still brews as fast as it did when it was new. Ive never had a single issue with this machine. Friends and family who have had the pleasure of a cup of coffee at our house have all gone out and bought one for themselves. To date, 11 other households own one because of our recommendation and the taste of our coffee and not a single person is complaining about the cleanup.

Pros: It is neater than transferring grounds from a grinder to a coffee pot.
Cons: I clean the whole assembly everyday. So, cleaning is sort of a pain.

This pot makes good coffee. I like the idea of less clutter on the counter because the grinder is combined with the coffee maker. I would buy this again. Next time, I would probably look at the stainless steel model, too.
