Pros: revolutionizes many of your recipes
    Cons: cost, weight

Summary: The Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus is a wonder that begs to be in every kitchen where food preparation is taken to the next level. In the last 5 years or so, I have found myself being drawn into my wife’s kitchen more and more by all these great gadgets she ... read more

Pros: Can cut nearly anything in every way possible.  Strong motor.
Cons: Hard to clean and store.  No case for the blades.

Summary: The Food Network makes a food processor look like a kitchen staple so I figured I needed one too.  I made a special trip to the store for a large food processor confident it would broaden my cooking options.  I'm a huge fan of Cuisinart so the ... read more

Pros: Sturdy and quiet workhorse.  Cuts food preperation time significantly.  Worth every penny.
Cons: Limited disk choices come with the machine and no choice of having a chute.

Summary: I have owned many, many low cost food processors over the years.  Every single one of them was rendered useless in a matter of months.  The biggest problem I have encountered over and over again is that the part that get the most torque, the ... read more

Pros: Easy to assemble, easy to clean, saves a lot of prep time
Cons: I don't like the fact that it is white.

Summary: What did I do before the Cuisinart DLC-2011 PowerPrep Plus 11 Cups Food Processor? I use it nearly every day.  I was given this food processor as a gift from my husband.  I think it is probably one of his favorite things he has ever given to me ... read more

Pros: Large capacity; Attractive stainless steel design; does its business well.
    Cons: N/a thus far.

Summary: Modern American life leaves those with families precious little time to function like the families of yesteryear.  Between the job commutes, working out, kids, chores, and other pressures, there is little time to cook a decent dinner.  I do the ... read more

Pros: It's a nice looking paperweight
    Cons: Just 15 words???? Impossible!!!

Maybe just HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Summary: I bought this model (Prep 11 plus, brushed chrome) after extensive research and decided to get this one instead of their newer Elite model because of the dough feature not available in the 12 cup elite. I mostly used it to chop & slice ... read more

  • After 6 months, I'm still happy with my Cuisinart DLC-2011BCN Food Processor.

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Aug 28, 2008
Pros: excellent at pureeing, shredding, and slicing, washes easily in dishwasher
Cons: safety-locks take some time to figure out, expensive, plastic base looks cheesy

Summary: I had an Oster 10-Cup Food Processor for about a year and a half before it blew itself up in a blaze of glory. I don't bake and I only used the thing once or twice a week tops to make pesto, hummus, or to shred soft things like kale or yellow squash. ... read more

Pros: CUTE, efficient, powerful, sturdy, takes up very little space.
Cons: ...but can it mow the lawn?

Summary: Okay, first of all- this food processor is just plain cute. It's small (holds three cups), with rounded corners and a cheery, bright red handle and base, and it just looks cute sitting out on my tiny apartment counter. Adorable appearance aside, ... read more

  • This Cuisinart is State of the Art

    Mar 29, 2008
Pros: Price, Clean Up, Quality, Touchpad, quiet
Cons: Confusing safety feature, price of accessories

Summary: Cuisinart DLC-2011N Premier Series 11-Cup Food Processor A few years ago, someone gave me my first food processor. It was utilitarian, but not a joy to use. When it broke, I decided I could live without one. However, the time came again when I ... read more

  • What happened to Cuisinart quality?

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 20, 2008
    Pros: High capacity, heavy-duty motor
Cons: Annoying safety feature, expensive replacement parts

Summary: For the most part, I like this machine. It was the one I wanted and it does what I need it to do and I like that (I've never made dough in it, so cannot comment on that feature, which seems to be where people have issues with it). That said, there is ... read more

    Dec 28, 2007
Pros: ease of use & clean up, quality of food, durability, style, weight
Cons: plastic bowl clouds after several dishwashing cycles (refer to caveat in my review's body)

Summary: This model represents my introductory processor in the land of food processors (if you will). Some heck of a "first" for me, eh? Well, I researched many processors prior to selecting my Cuisinart; I even touched, prodded and played with a few at my local ... read more

  • Cuisinart DLC-2011 PowerPrep Plus - I KISS YOU!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 4, 2007
Pros: Makes quick work of slicing, chopping, pureeing, mixing and shredding.
Cons: Beautiful round base is hard to grip for lifting.

Summary: I had wanted a food processor for YEARS, but I was always fearful of buying an expensive kitchen item that I would use furiously a few times then chunk in the back of a closet after a hummus/slaw/shredded cheese burnout. I mean, really, how often would I ... read more

  • Why did I wait so long to buy the Cuisinart DLC-2011?

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    May 19, 2006
Pros: Full-featured, powerful, versatile, large capacity, easy to use, attractive design.
Cons: Heavy, takes quite a bit of space. High $$ accessories needed for simple tasks.

Summary: As an accomplished home cook who hates a cluttered counter top, I always resisted buying a food processor. After using the Cuisinart for a few months, I don't know why I waited so long. The Machine This model features the same powerful and ... read more

  • Cuisinart DLC-2011 PowerPrep Plus 11 Cups Food Processor - step up to the big leagues

    Jan 22, 2006
Pros: powerful motor, large bowl, good brand
Cons: set up and cleaning time

Summary: Over the years we have been married my wife has mentioned from time to time that she would like a food processor. In the past she has done almost all of the cooking so I take her at her word when it comes to the kitchen, but a good food processor isn’t ... read more

  • Cuisinart DLC 2011..If you need to shred mass quantities, this is the way to go

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Aug 10, 2005
Pros: Well made. Quiet. Fast. Easy to clean.
Cons: Expensive. Might be hard to store.

Summary: I really enjoy cooking. And I enjoy gadgets. That said, I never would have bought the DLC-2011 for myself. It was a gift from my husband. Oh, I would have visited it in the store and online, and would have WANTED one, but I wouldn't have shelled out ... read more

  • Terrible customer service. I'll never buy Cuisinart again.

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 10, 2005
Pros: Great machine. Makes wonderful bread dough and lovely sliced vegetables.
Cons: Can't recommend this brand due to appalling customer service from Conair, Cusinart's parent company.

Summary: Cuisinart has terrible customer service! I wish I hadn't bought my PowerPrep 11 Pro food processor from them after the bad experience I've had. I also own a Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus chopper. One day I left the work bowl lid too near the stove and part ... read more

  • Costs more, does better

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Nov 27, 2004
Pros: Quiet, powerful, sharp blades, stylish
Cons: Could use more slicing blades

Summary: After a terrible experience with a Euro-Pro Quad-blade food processor (see another review), I decided it was time to stop being frugal and look for the best quality machine I could afford. After all, with three children in the house, my wife uses this ... read more

  • Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus DLC-2011: It Pays to Upgrade

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Sep 8, 2003
Pros: easy release and connect features, extra-large feed tube, auto-on when feed tube is engaged
Cons: price, few extras in the package

Summary: I thought I didn't need a food processor. The Cuisinart Prep Plus DLC-2011 has shown me I can make good use of one as a time-saver. At the very least it has shown me that it's a worthwhile extravagance when the price is right. Food Proces ... read more

    Nov 22, 2002
Pros: Versatile, large capacity and easy to clean
    Cons: Expensive, but worth it

Summary: I have had mine for a year now and still continue to use it on a weekly basis. It is extremely versatile, from the slicing attachment that will give you paper-thin slices of tomatoes, to the dough attachment that makes perfect homemade pizza dough. The ... read more

  • Too innovative for its own good?

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 12, 2002
Pros: Easy to use and so fast the fun's over before it begins.
Cons: Durability is a problem and it bogs down on a double recipe of bread dough.

Summary: My wife picked up a Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus Food Processor just in time for us to make our favorite green salsa to go with the ham she was making for Christmas dinner. The Cuisinart Little Pro Plus we had used forever was undersized and suffering from a ... read more
