Pros: Mixes stuff good, cleans with a sponge Cons: Rock Concert dB ear damage ... motor sounds like a poorly-tuned YUGO
My youngest son (14) passed through a recent craze of blender-preparing various foodstuffs. No, he didn't have his jaw wired shut ... I'm not really certain what fueled his interest. Perhaps he observed one of his budddies "SUPER-moms" whip-up a little...
Pros: Fast and extremely easy to use. Cons: None that I can find in the two months that I have used it.
Christmas morning I opened my present from my husband, I was so excited because I usually get things like diamond rings, earrings and such and he has gone to a lot of trouble to disguise the little boxes, even to the point of buying a very large box and...
Pros: Very good blender and food processor in one saves a lot of space Cons: None so far
I was almost sure about getting a bullet shaped blender advertised on TV that comes with mugs and many other accessories (you know the one I'm talking about), I had decided on getting it on Saturday so I waited until Monday to place my order since it ...
Pros: Great Value, Excellent Product, Uses very little counter space Cons: Can't locate a fine grating disc for it
I purchased this with a gift certificate my husband gave me for Christmas. I went shopping with my daughter, and I had decided that I wanted something nice for my kitchen. We both decided that a blender to make health drinks in would be just the item to ...
If counterspace in your kitchen is an issue for you, you may want to try the Cuisinart SmartPower Duet. The blender is a treat to use; the Food Processor is good if you don't need much volume. The footprint is nice and small. Over the years I feel ...
Pros: Affordable, easy to clean, aesthetically pleasing, minimizes storage space Cons: Food processor could be quieter and (perhaps) bigger
The Cuisinart Smart Power Duet Blender/Food Processor BFP-703 is a well-designed and aesthetically pleasing investment. Ever since I bought mine (over 2 years ago), I have regularly used it at least 3-5 times a week, and it still runs perfectly.
...
Pros: powerful, multi-functional, easy to clean. Cons: slight learning curve if you lose the manual.
When you want to throw parties and mix up your special margarita drink, the Cuisinart is ready for you. When you want to slice up some food to make a wonderful meal, this Cuisinart can handle that too. When your ready to clean it all up, just throw it...
I'll start out by saying I don't know much about blenders or food processors. My family had neither growing up, so I've never had a chance to use them. Well, my husband went on a diet and figured he'd make himself some protein smoothies or something,...
Pros: Works really well for blending, chopping, and shredding. Cons: Is a little loud.
One day my blender decided to quit on me so I decided to buy a new one. Not knowing very much about blenders I decided to start by looking at prices and name brands that I could kind of recognize. I finally found the Cuisinart SmartPower Duet ...
Pros: Great space-saving, powerful, multi-purpose appliance. Name you can trust, lives up to reputation! Cons: None that I have found
I bought this product at my local Costco...yes there was only one color choice, although now I believe they've changed the model from white to stainless and upped the price quite a bit. I paid $49.99 for this and gave away my old food processor. I ...
Pros: Looks nice? If it doesn't work, how can there be any pros. Cons: Loud, can't blend, can't food process, complete waste of money/space/time.
Wow, I don;t know where to start. My wife and I received this item as a wedding gift and returned a blender and food processor (separates) thinking that this product should work fine for use. Well, my first experience using the item was making ...
Pros: Dual use, easy to use, very powerful. Cons: Loud. Not a full service food processor
Good value for two functions - blender and food processor. Blender is very good. The food processor is better than a mini chopper. For those who have limited space, this is a good option. Prior to this purchase, I had been using an Oster blender ...
Pros: Nice design. Saves Space in the cabinets. Works great when it works. Cons: Broke after minimal usage. Parts are difficult to replace. Repair is expensive.
I got this as a gift about 4 years ago - so it's out of warranty. I rarely used it but when I did, it did the job. My main uses were to chop nuts or slice veggies in the food processor or to make drinks and smoothies in the blender. No hard use. I ...
Pros: Shared base saves space. Strong motor. Relatively quiet. Reasonable price. Cons: Food Processor bowl is small for family size cooking (but perfect for the childfree)
Pretty Andrea and I decided it was time to get a blender that met our needs, because our old Osterizer just didn't anymore. We considered replacing it with a new professional grade blender. We also considered a Food Processor. Our opinions diverged here...
Pros: Two appliances in one, easy to use, works great Cons: None so far
I was in the market for a food processor. I did not want to fork out $200 for the 11 cup one since it would only be used most of the time for two people. I came across this product and thought about the blender. My old blender worked but it was a pain to...
Pros: Features and performance are great, Quieter than other blenders Cons: Having to store the extra parts
My old Osterizer was acting up so I needed a replacement. My old blender provided me many years of service but I always wished it was quieter. So in looking for a new one a major concern was noise level. While at Costco I noticed a good deal on a new...
Pros: Nice convenient design Cons: Breaks very easily
I have purchased two of these models, for two separate houses, and still enjoy the ease of cleaning and assembly, however, both broke in the same place: the metal round die that is attached to the base of the blender snapped right off under...
Pros: space saver Cons: noisy, small capacity, little speed variety
I got this as a gift from my mother. I needed both a food processor and a blender, and she figured that this would save space in my tiny city apartment. It did. But it was a disappointment from the beginning. Now, at the time I got this, I was a ...
Pros: It's a nice looking piece of equipment. Cons: Major parts made of plastic break easily.
I got this unit as a gift several years ago - I've hardly used it - I'd say no more than 10 times - and it's broken. The little gizmo in the bottom that the blender/processer broke. It's the part attached to the motor housing that spins around and fits ...
Pros: Nice concept in combining 2 products. Blender attachment is nice. Cons: Worthless customer service.
The whole machine is very loud, blender attachment works like a charm. Now for the food processor: less than 6 months after purchase and very light usage the food processor attachment stopped working, stripped a gear in the housing. Cuisinart would be happy to send me a replacement for 30 dollars plus shipping. No thanks I will stick with the reliable brands like Kitchen Aid.
Pros: Blends quickly and thoroughly. Cons: Loud, over heats with minimal blending.
We purchased this blender to make fruit smoothies for our kids. The smoothies consisted of frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, cranberry juice, protein powder and fresh bananas. Our first unit started smoking and burned out in less than two weeks. Figuring it was a defect we returned the product and got a replacement. To be safe, we only used thawed or fresh fruit with the second blender. The same thing happened with the second unit, again in about 2 weeks. While the box claims to crush ice, we found it unreliable even for soft fruit and with minimal blending time. While the added feature of a mini chopper was a nice bonus, the product did not deliver on promises made on the box. We traded up for a more expensive Kitchen Aid to see if we have better luck. I'm interested if anyone else had similar issues with this unit.
Great Blender Noisy Processor by booglass ,Aug 13 '07
Pros: Good blender Cons: Noise made when using food processor
I am still using the blender which is great. Unfortunately, the food processor was beyond noisy with a ear numbing pitch. So I now only use the blender portion and am having to buy a food processor which I was trying to avoid in the first place.
Pros: Easy to clean. Food processor grating function works well. Cons: Very loud, food processor chopping function doesn't work, blender very touchy
We registered for this when we got married, thinking the dual function idea was a great one. However, I wish we had just registered for two separate and much better appliances.
Pros: None...well the blender works, but that's it. Cons: Processor doesn't work and it's as loud as a lawn mower...Go figure
The food processor does not work! I've set it on the base, pressed the ON button and then pressed the Chop button and nothing but loud noise happens and the blade doesn't move...WTF? Am I doing this wrong because I'm sort of in shock that it's doesn't work...I've never used it before.
This is a complete waste of money. I don't get it, this is their specialty and it doesn't work at all.
