Pros: Performs as well as the hype, compact, easy to clean Cons: Hard to find, not cheap
A few weeks ago, I decided I needed some type of processor. I had started cooking more (New Year's Resolution) and, while a sharp knife and hand copper were doing okay, I figured it was time to start the hunt for a food processor.
Pros: Small footprint, inexpensive, makes short work of chopping and dicing. Cons: None so far.
The Mrs. and I are bargain shoppers; unless there is deal to be had, there is no money changing hands. So despite the fact that I have wanted a small 3-cup chopper for the longest I held off for a deal, and this past week it came my way in the form ...
Pros:Excellent job of chopping various foods; Cleans easily; Neat cord storage; Good price Cons:Could use a sturdier and thicker plastic bowl
Over the years I have owned about 6 different mini food choppers, including those from Cuisinart, Sunbeam, Black & Decker and Rival. The KitchenAid Chef's Chopper KFC3100 has proven to be the best of the lot. What makes this chopper unique is the ...
Pros: Small, easily fits in dishwasher Cons: Very loud, whiny motor
We bought this to grind food for our baby and it does a nice job of that. Unfortunately, the loud, high-pitched whiny motor scares the little tyke. The volume is oppressive and a real show stopper for us. We won't be continuing to use it.
Pros: Works great cleans up easily. Cons: Your mixture may splash out of the dry ingredient hole a little.
I bought the KFC3100 a little over a month ago. It is simply a great unit. I only need something for making small amounts of sauces, salsas, marinades etc. It operates wonderfully and cleans up easily. I like how the food is drawn in and down through ...
Pros: Great size, consistent chopping and mixing, easy removal of mixtures, quick and easy clean up. Cons: None so far.
Just purchased this item two weeks ago and I think it is great! Never required or desired to own a food processor in the past, but my recent interest in Indian cooking has caused me to purchase one. This is also my first KitchenAid appliance. As ...
Pros: Easy to use, compact, chops with ease. Easy clean-up. Worth the $35 price tag. Cons: It can be difficult to open the lid until you get familiar with it.
I really love my Kitchen Aid three cup chopper! It chops vegetables quickly and easily with the touch of a button. To me it is just as mighty as a regular Food Processor, but takes up little space and has far less parts to clean. I really hated ...
Pros: Easy to clean, power cord storage. Cons: Awkward position of pulse button, difficult to align cup, noisy
Since I enjoy cooking, I do have a lot of different tools in my kitchen ... mostly Philips tools ... but since they are not sold in the US anymore, I am now trying to get into other brands in order to complement what I may need. In this case, I ...
Pros: Easy to use and works well. This chopper is priced to sell. Cons: The little things to nag about don't even cause me to pout.
A year ago, I was in the market for a new mini chopper or food processor. My inexpensive Super Chopper from the Black and Decker outlet was kaput. The two-cup bowl was losing chunks of plastic every time I used it. So, I was venturing off into the ...
Pros: Small, comes in very handy, easy to clean. Cons: Only use for small jobs, almost chops too finely for me.
I received the Kitchen Aid KFC3100 Chef's Chopper a few months ago as a wedding gift and I am very please with it. This little chopper is great for small tasks. I use it mainly for chopping garlic and onion as it only holds 3 cups. It is small so, it ...
Pros: Looks good, works great, many many uses, cheap Cons: none so far
I couldn't be more happy with the Kitchen Aid mini chopper. This little gadget is such a multi-tasker, and really gets used everyday. I mainly got it after growing fresh herbs and TRYING to chop them with a knife. I found myself hardly using them ...
Pros: It works very well, takes up little space. Good price. Cons: Spits food out of the top. Slightly too small.
After trying to puree things in my blender with no luck, I decided I needed a food processor. I had read that Kitchen Aid was a best bet in food processors. My husband and I found this one for about $40, which was wayyyy cheaper than most of the other ...
Very Good small Food Processor by michaeljc70 ,Nov 02 '04
Pros: -Good size, not too big, not too small
-Powerful motor
-Dishwasher safe
Cons: -Some ingredients can come out the fill hole on the top.
I have owned several small food processors. None every lasted too long. The KitchenAid seems to be the best designed and has had no problem taking everything I have given it. I have used it to chop the normal garlic and onions, but also on hard parmesan cheese and mozzarella. The size is great when cooking for 1-3 people so you don't have to haul out a huge food processor. Some of the other small processors have a much smaller capacity.
Some ingredients can fly out the fill hole on the top of the unit. Just place a finger on when using. Fill hole is handy for making dressing/vinaigrettes.
Great Performance, but be careful by jessrocket ,Jul 30 '08
Pros: Works great on small soft food like garlic, veggies and basil. Cons: Can't handle chewier things like sun dried tomatoes.
This things seems to last forever as long as you make sure you are clicking the plastic bowl into place every time you store it. If you don't the plastic bar that snaps it into place will wear out and the processor won't work at all. It really works well, though. We invested in another one after this happened, and it's worked like a charm.
