Pros: Heavy duty. Many useful functions, great warranty, dependable name. Cons: heavy in weight, awkward, and high priced
KitchenAid KFP670 Professional Food Processor Why, When, and Where Every Christmas we celebrate with two gift exchanges. One is for the family as a whole with a few friends included in the festivities. We do a boy/girl type exchange ...
Pros: Clever feed tube; multiple work bowls; lots of attachments included Cons: Limited color choice; storage box is too big and too flimsy
I bought the Kitchen Aid "Professional 670" food processor, model KFP670, a couple of months ago to replace a seven year-old Cuisinart, and I have been very pleased with it. I think it is currently one of the best, and perhaps the best, food processor...
Pros: Processes in seconds, lots of power! Cons: Time saved in processing by hand lost in cleaning/setup, pricey.
I have wanted a KitchenAid Food Processor for about two years. I just could never bring myself to spend the money. I think I was concerned it one be one of THOSE purchases that seemed like a great idea at the time, and then I'd never end up using it....
Pros: Outstanding performer -- better than the Cuisinart that it replaced Cons: Someone has got to find a better way to organize accessories.
When my husband and I first got engaged in December of 1985, a relative gave us a Cuisinart DLC 10 Plus food processor -- at that time, the top choice for people who didn't want the family-size food processor, but still wanted great performance. And let...
Pros: Nice machine, does a good job chopping/shredding/grinding food and lives up to Kitchen Aid's reputation. Cons: Can be difficult to clean and bowls might need replacement.
I've had this food processor for a few years, and I like it very much. It has a powerful motor, the blades work great and change out easily. I love not having to chop large amounts of vegetables and nuts because I can toss them in here and let the ...
Pros: Powerful, quiet, sleek and easy to clean -- who could ask for more? Cons: Who designed that ugly and cumbersome storage box? Shame on you!
After years of using a cheap food processor I purchased at a yard sale, I purchased a Kitchenaid UltraPower 670. Wow. This machine rocks, it is a POWERFUL, yet quiet, fast, efficient machine. I use mine for almost every meal, and you'd have to pry my c ...
Pros: Comes with nice amount of attachments, large size can handle lots of food. Cons: None
This is my second food processor, I've had it about a month now and I love this thing!
First of all, it holds a lot of food and comes with a smaller bowl so you can make a smaller amount, then just take the little bowl out and do your larger food,...
deserving descendant of the original by bim909 ,Oct 22 '04
Pros: Build quality, especially this model, which has a metal base. Cons: Heavy - best left out on the counter. Large and badly designed accessory storage box.
This food processor is definitely one of the best built machines you can get - better than its competitors and no wonder: it wears the Kitchen Aid name, but it's made in France by the people that invented the food processor for restaurant use.
The parts that get the most wear - the blade and the bowls - are well designed, durable and dishwasher safe. So far, they have not gone cloudy as some plastics do (the effect of dishwasher detergent and abrasion from hard foods). I say "bowls" because there are two: the standard bowl and a mini bowl, with its own blade, that fits inside to process smaller quantities.
The base is very stable (has rubber feet and a cord guide to wind the power cord into, so it stays out of the way) and there is next to no vibration even when processing heavy dough. I have tried all the accessories except the whisk. They work well, but the plastic storage box they come in is fragile and takes up too much space. You can order additional slicing discs and juicer attachments that work with the standard bowl.
Pros: Quiet, well made, variety of parts, powerful.. solid construction Cons: Can't think of much. Just a bit complicated to use at first.
We replaced the food processor we got 20 years ago. It was like getting a Ferrari to replace the Pinto. This machine is so quiet, powerful and has great attachments. We used to cringe when we turned on the old one to chop nuts.... This machine just whirs through them. My wife made fun of me when I had the nerve to buy her an appliance as a gift.. but she soon changed her tune when she used it. Better than a diamond ring to her.. well, at least more useful.
Great machine but the lid breaks by rkmoss ,Mar 06 '07
Pros: This is an appliance I use every time I make a meal. Cons: Buy an extra lid right away. It'll break.
I have had my 670 for a few years now and it is a great machine. Unfortunately, the lid has cracked, not once, but twice and now I am stuck trying to replace a very expensive lid and can't find a replacement part. I think that putting the lid in the dishwasher finally just makes the plastic brittle.
