Pros: Very stylish and quickly heats a lot of water.
Cons: Element burned out too soon. Should last longer than 2 years.

This kettle looks great and worked great too. Unfortunately, it has now stopped working after only 2 years service. It is a fairly expensive kettle(well it cost us over a $100) and we only use it about twice a day so I expected more longevity. It has certainly put me off Krups. They need to address quality issues if my experience is widespread.

I've had a terrible experience - my kettle melted from the bottom!
Could have caused a fire!
I sent it to Krups - at their direction - so they could test it and if defective replace or repair it.
Since then, it's been a BIG HASSLE!
They promise to call - week after week - no calls.
I call them once a week - and each time they promise to resolve the problem.
"the manager (Derik) will call by the end of the day with a resolution."
5 days later - no call
I call again - no information -
This time I get Derik, the manager, on the phone who tells me there is
"nothing we can do" but wait. How long? Can't promise.

Krups has had my kettle for more than a MONTH - and I have no answers.

Krups customer service stinks!!!

Don't buy a Krups product!!!

Pros: Long lasting (over ten years and it was an accident that broke it)
Cons: NONE

I bought this kettle in 1998 and it is still working.
However, it was dropped recently and broke the levers that turn it the power on off, still works but I have to use a skewer to turn it on.
I am trying to buy the same kettle and hopefully it will last another ten or more years
