This Ice Cream maker is more of a milk shake maker than an Ice Cream Maker. I followed the instructions to a tee, all it did was mix the stuff together. I ran it 3 times and it never did freeze. Made a lot of noise and was a waste of time.

I purchased this machine over other selections available at my local Shopko Store because of the RIVAL name. Because there were no instructions with it, and the only recipes are on the outside of the box, I delayed trying to use it for several weeks. When I finally decide to try it out, my product was a complete failure.

Since I had passed the 30 day time limit to return a product, I now have a $34.00 machine which cannot be used and in conscience, I cannot give it away because it doesn't work.

It's my first ice cream maker and I like it a lot. I bought it because it was on sale for half price at a local store going out of business, otherwise I would probably have stuck with the occasional pint of Haagen Daz or Ben and Jerry's.

I followed the instructions to a "T" and gave it a whirl. The ice cream turned out great and I'm really glad I bought it.

why make something that's going to shut off before the ice cream is done? i have got this thing to work once, and it was almost soup. all the wasted ingredients and high expectations. too bad rival doesn't care about the consumer. this thing does not even come close to what it's supposed to do.
