Pros: It is a professional strength, high powered unit. Blends in seconds. Excellent customer service. Cons: None.
MY MOTHERS WARING BLENDER My mother had a Waring blender as an engagement gift from the early 1950's. I remember as a child the milkshakes and soups she would make from it. It had a tall, cloverleaf, glass container that connected to a polished ...
This is a great blender! I bought mine over 18 months ago, and have been using it happily ever since. I use it to mix up protein shakes on a daily basis, and occasionally use it for mixing margaritas or other frozen drinks as well. It also handles hot ...
Pros: Has a high quality appearance, and lives up to this appearance. Cons: Only has two settings.
I purchased this wonderful blending machine from amazon.com
for $90. This was by far the lowest price. The features that define it from other blenders are as follows.
1) Cloverleaf Glass Container: This is a heavy duty glass...
Pros: Attractive, powerful, easy to clean, great warranty. Cons: None so far!
My fiance and I needed a blender for our kitchen. I have had previous experience with lower-priced blenders that just couldn't...well...blend! On this blender search, however, we were specifically looking for a blender that would allow us to make quick, ...
Pros: Simple, well constructed, nice design and powerful. Cons: A little loud but that's the only one.
Overall I love my new blender and have been using it for about a month. I drink 2-3 protein drinks a day and it works great for that. Even when adding lots of peanut butter and frozen raspberries. It makes a smooth drink in seconds, my old blender was ...
Pros: Attractive design, stainless base, commercial grade engine. Cons: Cleanup can sometimes be cumbersome for larger hands.
I have gone through a few blenders in my day. As a college student I went through two blenders from abuse and heavy usage. My last blender cracked at the plastic base where the jar used to attach to the motor base. I figured that was the last straw ...
Pros: Sturdy, attractive retro styling, comes in a slew of cool colors, easy to clean Cons: Price, it's expensive
Background on the blender search: When it comes to buying kitchen appliances, I admit that it's all about style with me. Crazy as it sounds, I'd rather have a counter full of attractive mediocre appliances than one full of highly functioning ...
Pros: Gorgeous fluted glass design, thorough blending and simply operation. Cons: Loud, a bit expensive but worth it!
I've spent a lot of time searching for a great blender. Including standing in return lines and dumping lots of carafes full of clumpy stuff down my sink drain. I think that my search has finally come to a happy end. If you've found this review, you m ...
Pros: Function, function, function... and great style. Cons: Not a thing!
Looks HOT on your counter, yet turns cubed ice into microscopic SLUSH in minutes! I am an avid protein shake maker and this blender changed my life. I read a few reviews on epinions about it and bought mine to find it is EXACTLY as amazing as people ...
Pros: Heavy Duty blender with two speeds Cons: None
If you spend any amount of time in your kitchen you will likely find a use for a blender, but going to the store can be really confusing. Waring is the tried and true brand that has been used for years. In fact, my blender is part of their fifty year...
Pros: A fantastic, sleek and attractive blender without all the frills Cons: Nothing!
I lucked out and found this blender at Goodwill, buried beneath '70's mugs and quilted tea cozies. Score! I was attracted to it because of its bare bones exterior. Just a thick, glass container with a slim, stainless steel base. And, the best part, ...
Pros: Made in USA and doesn't come apart for cleaning. Cons: Five foot cord; why? Lid leaks-no excuse and doesn't come apart for cleaning.
Blends well, but... I'm not happy with the leaky lid. There's no excuse for this in a one hundred and thirty dollar item. This makes for a lot of clean up afterwards. And what’s up with this five foot cord. I could see where an outlet might be far ...
Pros: powerful, thorough, cool design, and efficient Cons: none
Did I mention I love it? This blender has met all my expectations. It is simple and classic to look at. It is very powerful and gets the job of blending ice and making smoothies done very quickly and thoroughly. It is used daily in our house, up to 5 times per day, and has not failed us once. We use large frozen strawberries and ice cubes in it with ease. The odd time there is a tiny piece of ice left unblended, but that is nothing compared to all the pros! I love that the pitcher is one piece - taking off the base of a blender to clean it, putting back all the pieces 5 times a day was a huge pain with our last blender. This one - you just whirr it up with some water and a drop of soap after you use it and it is ready to go again.
Pros: Easy to clean. Chops ice. Blends extremely quickly. Heavy duty glass carafe. Cons: Can't think of any.
My requirements for a blender are simple. Whatever I buy must last at least five years, and it must be able to blend ice cubes into a smoothie without leaving large annoying chunks of ice. Until now, these needs had never been met.
The Waring MBB518 is a dream. There's something about the cloverleaf shape of the carafe that pulls the contents down into the blade for smooth, quick, efficient blending. Even on the "low" setting, ice cubes are quickly pulverized and mixed. My smoothies have never been so smooth, nor have they ever been so quick to produce.
My husband was so impressed by the blender's smoothie prowess that he has started using it for sauces and other cooking applications. It is just as efficient.
My only worry was that because the blade is not separable from the carafe that this would be hard to clean. Not so. All you have to do is follow the cleaning instruction, and this machine is easier to clean than the Kitchen Aid that it replaced.
If you're looking for a simple, but powerful, blender that actually *blends*, shop no more. This is it.
Pros: When it is not broken it's a very very good blender, one of the best. Cons: In for repair too often
In the one year that I have had mine, it's been in for repair four times. Three times for the driver (part that drives the blade) to be replaced, and once the blade assembly fell apart. When this blender is working it's a great blender. I make at least one smoothie per day using frozen fruit and orange juice.
I will never purchase another Warning product again. I am now looking for a good blender that is not always breaking down.
