I got my Kitchen Aid for my wedding. It was something that my grandmother had and I had always loved watching her use. She is an avid baker and swears by hers, so I wanted one too. I love it! It is sleek looking and since mine is white, it goes with everything. It has many different mixing levels and I have the option of buying more attachments and gadgets because of the great brand name. I have never had any problems with my Kitchen Aid and I use it to mix cookie dough all the time. The only downfall is that it is a very heavy machine. But it is very substantial.

Cons: It does not make my mother cakes from scratch the way that she wants them

May 2003, we purchase this classic stand mixer for our mother because she bakes all the time and she makes all of her cakes from scratch...Well, my mother is still having to use her old $50.00 mixer because she cannot get her cakes to come out right with this mixer...her cakes usually comes out crummy...and it will not beat her white for icing stiff enough...I wish I had just bought another $50.00 mixer instead of spending $200.00 for this one...I just thought I would buy her a nice mixer that would last a long time...but it defeats the purpose when she still use the old mixer...If anyone have any suggestions please feel free to make them...Thanks...
