Purchased vac for over 300. and have put almost 150. in repairs into vac in around 2 years. Never purchase this vac, unless you want to visit the Oreck Store after every 3 hours of use. The bands need replacement and the cheap beater bar burns out easily with any amt of hair it picks up. The cheap plastic strip easily after removal of the bottom screws and makes it impossible to tighten. I've replaced 2 beater bars at 50.00 each, ac switch and short AC connector, not to mention expensive bags and belts every 2 months
