Pros: Inexpensive, Light Weight, Small, Powerful Suction and "almost fun to use!" Cons: Limited attachments.
I'm a single guy and vacuuming isn't exactly on the top of my list of things I like to do. So if I have to do it I want to do it with the least possible aggravation. My Sharp EC-7311 Vacuum Cleaner does just this! Whoever designed this model must have...
I bought this vacuum five years ago when it came time to replace our old Rainbow. I wish that I had done it five years earlier. The Sharp EC-7311 has been and continues to be a great little vacuum.
Pros: Small, light, 10-second bag changes. Cons: Bad to carry one-handed. Mini-canister vac's ain't Cadillacs.
This is a mini-canister vacuum - think sub-compact econo-car, not luxury yacht. It's good for small jobs and bare floors. I got it after deciding that having a hose did NOT make my big, heavy upright convenient for cleaning bookshelves, drapes, light ...
Pros: Strong suction, light weight, easy to use Cons: Small size of disposable bag
Before I purchased the Sharp EC7311, I checked E-opinions for other brands and models and the reviews for this model were quite high. Originally I considered a HEPA filter but an e-opinion reminded me of the cost of replacing HEPA filters and with...
Pros: Decent price, good power, lightweight. Cons: Poor Sharp service, expensive to fix, small bags
It seems that a big problem with so many vacuums these days is the quality of the hose. It is certainly true of this Sharp product. The hose on ours collapsed. Replacement cost for this low-quality item is about $60. Why would anyone pay $60 for a new...
Pros: light weight, manuveurbility Cons: cord could hit finger painfully when retracting
I bought the unit more than 4 years ago and it is still running strong. The power is sufficient for most of the vacuum I am doing. but the best thing is the manuveurbility it is really light and easy to drag around. I could practically drag the vacuum...
When our old vacuum croaked I knew it was time to find a new little convenient appliance. I purchased The Sharp EC-7311 and to this day it continues to have great performance for such a small vacuum.

Pros: cost, lightweight Cons: bag becomes dislodged a lot, thus ruining vacuum
I have owned this vacuum for about 1 1/2 years now. The main problem with this vacuum is that the bag doesn't stay in place. It looses suction and then I open and the bag has come dislodged (this is not from being full). So, then it is a big cleanup and have to put bag back in place.
The vacuum is now extremely loud and has little suction because of all the dirt getting in the motor. I do not recommend this vacuum.
Pros: Lightweight, easy to maneuver, works for carpet and hardwoods Cons: Making sure the bag is in place
I have had my Sharp vacuum for several years now. We have hardwood floors and five dogs and this is the perfect thing for it. The bags are very easy to change out and the attachments work to do our sofa and curtains. You do have to be careful that the bag is installed properly or it may come loose as I saw one other person mention, but it is not difficult at all.
You will like this unit when you buy it, but once it breaks, forget about it. As with so many vacuums these days, the hose on this model is of particularly poor quality and kinks easily. The cost of a new hose is almost as much as buying a whole new unit.
Don't look to Sharp for service assistance either. Not only weren't they of help to me, they actually offered worse service and prices than I was able to find elsewhere.
If you need a small unit for spot cleaning of hard surfaces, this might be good for you. If you need an every day unit and expect good service, look elsewhere.

Pros: Compact, lightweight, long retractable cord, versatile, good suction, easy bag change, durable Cons: cheap outer body and small, hard-to-find bags, less effective on carpet
I bought this vacuum two years ago and have been overall very happy with it. It does an especially good job cleaning hardwood, tile, laminates, etc. Great for picking up pet hair, although on fabric or carpet you'll have to use the attachments (1 upholstery brush and one corner tool). It's a powerful little thing and I've never had to change a filter or a belt/engine component. The only drawbacks are: 1) the spring-clip on the outside holding the two halves of the body together broke after about six months (a piece of electrical tape took care of that). 2) Since the bags are small (it's a canister, life's full of trade-offs) you have to change them often so as not to lose suction, or at least I did since I have two cats and one very hairy 70-lb dog. I would definitely recommend it if you have bare floors in over half your living space, as I did at my last house. In my new apt, which is mostly carpet, it's less effective, but still makes do. It would probably do better if I bought a carpet brush attachment, but I'm broke!
