I got the family a roomba about 8 months ago on Amazon for $199 with 2 virtual walls and a remote. We turn it on when in the morning on the way out the door. It goes to work vacuuming all the rooms. When we come home the floor looks great and the roomba has found it's way back to the charger base. Little roomba has become like pet to the family. We do have to make sure there's nothing on the ground like cables that Roomba can get choked up on. It can pick up a lot. It does so much on it's own you have to remember to empty it. roomba also needs a little cleaning itself every once in a while. It's well designed so all the bottom pieces easily disassemble to get in and clean the brushes.

I haven't had any problems whatsoever with the Roomba. It could not be any easier to use. Press CLEAN and let it do it's things. It's actually pretty smart, it finds it's way.
I hope iRobot keeps making better and better functional robots for years to come.
