Pros: Great looks, great price, nice "outdoor" stroller, great customer service from InStep Cons: Buckles hard to snap at first, have to maintain tire pressure
I knew I wanted a jogging stroller---not because I jog or anything crazy like that, but because I knew the uneven sidewalks in my neighborhood would make walking with my regular stroller difficult. In addition I wanted a stroller I could take for walks...
Pros: lasts long enough and well enough to get your money's worth Cons: hard to push against strong wind on roller blades
Truly, the only complaint I have about the InSTEP 10K jogging stroller after three years of heavy use is the difficulty to push it against anything more than a slight breeze while on roller blades. I am an avid roller blader and have loved taking my ...
Pros: Too easy to assemble. Great price for this type of stroller! Cons: It's bulky to fit in a trunk, but the wheels pop off VERY easily.
History: We had shelled out the big bucks for the original Baby Jogger stroller when my first daughter was born (1997), but it lacked certain conveniences -- like a reclining seat, five point harness, a permanently mounted canopy, cup holders,...
Pros: Good overall value, lots of cargo space, relatively easy to steer with low resistance. Cons: Bulky frame, tires must be inflated appropriately and mounted very precisely for easy steering.
The frame is a bit bulky but otherwise fits easily into the trunk of our VW Passat. The aluminum frame is sturdy and seems to handle the ocassional pot-whole and sidewalk crack with ease. The straps are awkward but have never failed to serve their purpos ...
Pros: Light, easy to maneuver, looks great! Cons: NONE!!!
Aluminum frame, alloy wheels, rear suspension, cup holders, sun roof. Fine points of a sports car? No! The fine points of the Instep 10K! I registered for and received a really nice umbrella style stroller, thinking that is all I would need. Then I ...
Pros: Cost,
lots of extra features, a
comfortable and smooth riding machine Cons: Like most jogggers, no odometer but one is available as an attachment
My husband and I are runners and wanted a stroller that was strong enough to make us feel secure abo ...
Pros: Good for paved paths. Sleak Design. Inflated tires. Storage.
Cons: Cracked wheel after several outings on packed dirt terrain. Child restraint awkward.
I received the InStep 10K Ultimate jogging stroller as a gift. I loved the gift. As soon as my little one was more stable, about 5 months, I used the stroller. I thought it was perfect. However, after two months of use, it broke. I didn't jog, but walked fast with it on packed dirt trails regularly and the back axel cracked and broke, by the back wheel.
**At first InStep said they were not going to replace the stroller, due to the fact that I did not have the receipt. Recently, however, they have said that if I ship the stroller back, they will send me a new one. Therefore, I am updating my review and giving InStep's customer service higher ratings. Although the stroller's axel did break under normal conditions, the company is standing behind its product, which I find very important.
Fast, safe, priced right. by allen8633 ,Jun 23 '04
Pros: Well built. Inexpensive. Light. has a hand brake. Cons: Not for infants. Harness not as safe as other strollers.
This thing is fast! I could not believe how well built it was for the price. We own three strollers and I love to take this one out. It is the sports car of the strollers. It was hard for me to wait to use it. Not for infants at all. The straps could be more secure and have better padding on them for the baby's skin. Nice storage unit under the seat that you can take off. Removeable front wheel and foldable frame for storage.
Pros: Very sturdy, safe, great harness. Smooth ride. Cons: Not good for larger child. Will outgrow quickly
I live near a bumpy rocky trail and this jogger traversed the terrain smoothly. Very easy to use and store. Nice storage compartments to keep wallet and phone etc. Fastening harness takes a little practice, but keeps child very secure. Overall I would recommend this for small children, not infants.
Minnesota Mom loves this stroller by loribw ,Mar 13 '04
Pros: Easy to push. You get a lot of extras for the price. Cons: Needs effort to use rear breaks.
I live in Minnesota and have struggled not being to walk outside with so much snow on the ground. I bought this stroller and couldn't be more happy with it. It easily goes over any kind of terrain with little effort.
It's easy to push and is lightweight. It has a lot of great extras...like a cushion, viewing window, parent tray, etc. I put it together in about 15 minutes. Most of all I loved the price I paid. I find the breaks on the rear tires hard to get into place though and wish it had something to hold it together when collapsed. I also wish it held my water bottle better.
