Koala Front Carrier by Kelty K.I.D.S.
Last year while I was looking for a front baby carrier, I tried out the Kelty K.I.D.S. Koala at an outdoors sports store. The pack was nice and the baby fit well in it, but I preferred...
Pros: Very comfortable, very secure for baby.
Cons: Took time and patience to set it up initially.
I purchased this carrier to replace an inexpensive Fisher Price model which I purchased at a garage sale. The Fisher Price model was not at all comfortable.
I have a bad back and wondered if I could use a carrier at all but this carrier worked...
Pros: Adjustability. Appearance on males. Trusted name brand. Cons: Takes some patience to get used to.
Bought this as a replacement for a rather ineffective Snugli. Saw the review in Consumer Reports Magazine, and sought out a retailer that had it. We found it at a sports store, and the great sales person there showed us the various features and the ...
Pros: Durable, Attractive Cons: Hard to Adjust, Uncomfortable Fit, Hard to get child situated
One of the central concepts of "Attachment Parenting" is that one should "wear" your child whenever possible. My partner and I were committed to these principles and shopped earnestly for the best possible child carrier. I have been a...
If I had to pick just one carrier It would be the Kelty Koala Soft Carrier without a doubt. It is so soft and comfortable for the little tike. In addition to being soft it is very durable. This thing can survive a dog attack. The baby can face either...
Great, if a little complicated by whirlgigs ,Jul 14 '05
Pros: Comfortable, adjustable, feels safer than many carriers. Cons: Complicated, baby can only face inwards, hard to get baby in/out.
This can be a great carrier if you take the time and patience to learn all the latches and take the time to adjust it.
It's very comfortable, even for heavier babies since you carry most of the weight on comfortable waist straps, not all on your shoulders like many carriers. It feels very safe as well, since there's many buckles and clasps to hold baby to you.
At the same time, I found it was invariably a two person job to get on and off and get the baby out. All the buckles make it a bit prolonged to put on/get off and the baby can't face outwards.
