Not the best choice in child carriers...

by outdoordad , Dec 18 '01
Pros: Light weight
Cons: Inferior pack cloth. Minimal storage capacity Horrible customer service
I did extensive research on several carriers including the TT Stallion, the Madden Caravan, and the Kelty Expedition. I tried out all three carriers with my 9-month old son as a passenger, and after this first-hand experience I found that the Madden was...

Really awesome pack!

by stephameyer , Mar 21 '00
Pros: Fits very well, safety harness for kiddos
Cons: Teal isn't my favorite color.
We purchased this piece of equipment to allow us to resume our hiking days. We had a Snugli pack before and it was fine while our daughter was tiny, but she wasn't tiny for long. After about 5 months, she was too heavy for it, or maybe I should say for...

Pros: Easy to Use, Comfortable for Us and the Baby

Fantastic Carrier - Thank you
by aliarn ,Dec 06 '04
Pros: Very well built. Comfortable. Durable. Worth the price
Cons: A couple more storage pouches would be nice.
After one very challenging trip up a mountain using a "hand-me down" older baby carrier, my wife and I decided we needed a new one. We purchased the Tough Traveler Stallion for our two year old daughter who was handicapped since birth. At first, we hesitated at the higher price of a quality carrier but have since never been more pleased or regretted our purchase. Tough Traveler makes a terrific quality product! We were so happy with our first carrier that we bought another when are second daughter was born. These carriers have allowed us to do so much more hiking with our kids and the carriers are easy to adjust so that both my wife and I can use them. My wife is only 5'3" 115 lbs wife and I am 6'1" 205 lbs. We still have and use both carriers that we bought 8 and 11 years ago. Thank you again for making such a high quality product.
