Pros: Warm, non competitive place. Amazing nice group of campers. Everyone gets an opportunity to shine! Cons: Not enough time in a lifetime to get it all in!
am probably more qualified than most to give my opinion on Ballibay as my three children were campers there and I worked in the office. So, I know first hand what Camp Ballibay is like on a day to day basis. I can tell you that the brochures don't do...

Pros: Personal lessons, great friends, many opportunities, great working spaces, educated counselors, amazing fun, good food Cons: not enough time in the day
Ballibay changed my life. I attended Ballibay for six summers over seven years. It truly is my second home. If you are a person who loves theatres and making new friends that last forever then this is the camp for you. It has everything in the performing ...

Pros: Huge choice of activities; campers choose their schedule. Cons: None that I can think of
I think that Camp Ballibay is an amazing, great camp. I have taught music there for five years, and my two kids have been campers at Ballibay for that long. They have loved being campers at Ballibay, and I know that many, many kids that go to camp ...

Pros: Excellent program. Cons: A little pricey, but worth it.
I am a former Ballibay camper, and despite what others had to say about this camp,I feel that Ballibay is an excellent summer program. I went to Ballibay for 6 summers of my life. I feel that the experience was educational and enjoyable. I did not...

Pros: Great activities, Wonderful staff Cons: Horrid Administration, too costly
This camp provides numerous activities for the campers to participate in. Almost all of the staff members are pleasant and talented. There are numerous inconsistencies in the way the children are dealt with by administration. Many children describe...

Pros: THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE Cons: I cannot think of anything bad...unless you are looking for a camp focused in sports.
The greatest camp experience of my life! Ballibay has become a second home to me. A bit pricey, but if you can afford it, it's worth every penny. It is structured differently than your typical camp, as it isn't focused around sports but performing arts, ...

Great place for kids interested in the arts!
by giga3284 ,Mar 31 '08
Pros: Opportunities, clean and modern facilities, very safe, good atmosphere, tasty food Cons: Not the best place for kids who aren't at least somewhat interested in the arts
Ballibay is the perfect place for youth interested in the arts to spend their summer! The opportunities to learn and grow are unparalleled - campers don't have to designate a magnet, so they can explore ALL of the activity (theatre, dance, music, rock-and-roll, media production, visual art, among others) or specialize in their areas of interest. The on-campus atmosphere is all-inclusive and positive - everyone's friends by the end of the season - all this in addition to the fun traditional cabin living and great food make Ballibay a place that campers return to year after year!

Ballibay - An Awesome Camp!!!
by mugbug ,Mar 31 '08
Pros: International and American staff/campers offers a truly unique and amazing experience for campers. Cons: The office was the only air conditioned space in my day...thank goodness for shade!!!
I was a staff member at Ballibay and, having worked at quite a few camps through the years, I am still impressed by the programs and activities available to the campers. Much of this is due to the broad range of experience that the staff brings to the table. On top of the theatrical, musical, artistic and technical expertise, the campers benefit from a variety of hobbies that the staff shares. I would encourage every family to consider Ballibay. If your child has any artistic interest in anything from rock n' roll to classical music, radio, film, theatre, writing, dancing, photography, painting or ceramics (to name a few)...this is the place to be! Definitely give Ballibay a try this summer!!

Ballibay gave me a springboard for my career in the arts.
by abananie17 ,Apr 01 '08
Pros: lots of personal attention beautiful setting, top-notch arts education, fantastic counselors Cons: not many!
I spent 6 summers at Ballibay and consider it a second home. Not only was it a great place for the arts, it was also gave me a tightly-knit community of friends. Even though I haven't been to Ballibay for almost 5 years now, I still keep in touch with many of the friends I made there. At Ballibay I worked with some top arts instructors and truly gained an appreciation and love for the arts. That arts education definitely paid off, as I am now a Freshman studying Opera at the Thornton School of Music at USC. Ballibay provides an ideal setting for those who are interested in the arts, but do not want an intensely competitive environment. Ballibay produces top shows by nurturing the campers and giving them the extra push they need to really shine. Every school year I looked forward to going back to Ballibay, participating in the dance, music, and theatre productions, and living the "balli-life." I would strongly encourage any parents to send their kids to Ballibay for the summer of their life.
