Pros: warm, beautiful, amazing facilities/activities, unbelievable staff, lifetime friendships, lifetime lessons, lifetime memories Cons: THERE IS NOT ONE.VEGA IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
I went to Camp vega for eight consecutive summers, and not one complaint. sure the occasional homesickness my first summers at the age of seven, but with the staff Vega has the missing went away in minutes and you were embraced by your friends. The ...
Pros: Beautiful grounds, plenty of opportunity to grow Cons: Sometimes high stress for all.
Camp Vega is a unique place. The girls are upper class, wealthy Jewish girls. Some are snots, others are down-to-earth, fun and kind. The setting is stunning: a beautiful lake to tell the stories of calm nights with it's gentle lapping and the call of ...
Pros: a dream camp Cons: you can never find anywhere as good
Camp vega is my favorite camp even though vega is the only place i have gone, but i would still never ever swich. Their is something for everyone. if you are not doing good in school if you want you can sigh up to get toutored. their is every activity...
Pros: The camp is beautiful, comfortable facilities, many activities for the girls to thrive. Cons: Bizarre behaviors seem to be clear by all, campers, staff, even her own son. Beware.
I worked at Vega for a summer, well, almost a summer. I was what they called "GT" (go teamed) after slaving away for the director; at her beck and call 24 hours. As a psychotherapist, I can actually diagnose Linda as having Borderline ...
Pros: The most caring and compassionate of any community! Cons: Rainy days, bugs, and lemonade are about the worst things about any summer camp.
Camp Vega is magical. It starts with the most hard working, caring, and sincere directors, department heads, and counselors of any camp I have ever seen. In terms of beauty, there is no place like Camp Vega. Most college campuses do not have the facilities that this camp provides. The campers are very diverse in nature despite the obvious affluence of their parents. What makes Vega so special is the community love that is apparent the minute your feet hit the ground.
As a pediatrician, I could prescribe no other than Camp Vega for the summer.
Pros: unsurpassed facilities Cons: the campers are nothing to get too excited about
i went to camp vega for quite some time. it is a very high class and snooty camp, and i never much enjoyed my time there. the facilities are outstanding, however, the girls are not. vega has a reputation for being extremely competitive and full of stuck up girls. it is one of the most expensive camps around, as well. to give you a taste of what the genre is like, both chefs are head chefs at Ritz Carlton Hotels when they are not at vega. i recommend visiting the campus before sending any child there so you can feel the environment for yourself.
Pros: The staff and campers create unbelievable bonds Cons: not a con to think of
Vega. The extraordinary beauty of that wonderland baffles me. It's beyond me how anyone could ever make something so incredible which has made so many lives brighter. The sight of sunset circle pulls tears from the corners of my eyes as I remember scenes of green and white, the "V" that stands so tall and the sound of the fire crackling and the person breathing next to me which when combined could put me into a better mood in a matter of seconds.
Pros: The food is great, everything about it rules Cons: i can not think of one
i love camp Vega~ it rules! the girls are so nice on my first year, i didn't cry once! the counselors are so understanding, and the food is teriffic. Parents, it is truly a great enviorment for your girl to grow up over the summer in, and i know that for a fact! i will be going for the rest of my years that i can
Vega: a place to learn and grow by pinkpearlxoxo ,Jun 12 '05
Pros: The food, the facilities, the staff, just plain EVERYTHING Cons: Yes, the lake is cold, but what are you gonna do, heat it?
So far, I have been lucky enough to have spent 5 wonderful years at Vega. Even this is not enough time. The motto is that every girl will find herself at Vega, and this is true. With being with so many wonderful girls, i have been able to find who i really am as a person and i can just be myself. Not only the other campers are wonderful, but the counselors and staff are terrific and just like parents for the time you spend there. The facilities are amazing and they are safe to just have fun in. They (the facilities) are so beautiful that its not only the fun you are having that makes the summer so magical, its also the look of everything.
Vega is known as a snobby camp that gets everything it wants, but none of this is true. At Camp Vega, you have to do a lot for yourself, including cleaning up your bunk everyday, sorting the laundry, getting your own food and supplies, and just learning how to be an independent woman.
Pros: Everything is perfect about Vega, expecially the staff and facilities. Cons: THERE ARE NO CONS TO VEGA! IT IS EVERY GIRL'S FANTASY!
Vega is where I spent the most magical summers of my life. Whether we were hanging out by the lake or gathering around in sunset circle every moment was beyond amazing! First of all, Vega is beautiful. It's facilities are breathtaking with spacious cabins, a georgeous lake and lofty pines surrounding the Maine facility. The equestrian program is stunning as well as the waterski program and small crafts section. The food is actually tasty and served in an impeccably clean dining hall "buffet style". The staff are amazing and I wish I could be causing trouble with my friends or tredding water in the infamously cold Echo Lake right now! Boy do I miss camp. :`(
