Beast Machines: Highly impressive

by jeditrickster , Jan 11 '00
Pros: Good solid animation and story telling.
Cons: The music isn't all that fitting.
It is the newest incarnation of the Transformers mythos: Beast Machines. The story begins with our heroes previously seen in Beast Wars. They've returned home to Cybertron. Not all as it seems though, as they are hunted by drones and are nearly...

New Face of Transformers!

by optimus_king , Jan 09 '00
Pros: Great writing and animation. Treats you with intelligence.
Cons: Story took too long to develop.
Beast Machines is the new show on Fox Saturday mornings that is the direct spin-off/sequel to the immensely popular Beast Wars, which ran in syndication over the last few years.

Beast Machines continues the story of the Maximals (led by...

Transformers for the new millenium?

by StealthO7 , Mar 05 '00
Pros: Not a bad plot, And if you kids out their are looking for a show with lots of action, and bad jokes... Get a load of this one!!
Cons: It's not "Beast Wars", and the animation is pitiful.
Transformers, freak fad of the 80's? or Slightly well written show, that can be given a new computer look for 2000? The world may never no, but I on the other hand..

Now before you start getting disappointed, perhaps because you don't agree...

So SAD

by kray28 , Dec 27 '00
Pros: some cool animation
Cons: everything else
I was eleven years old when G1 hit the US. Like all kids I was enthralled by the Transformers mania which ensued. In the coming years I would become something short of obsessed with this wonderful universe. Since the G1 show died in America, it has been...

** Best Machines? **

by IcemanX , Jan 18 '00
Pros: Computer-generated graphics and action sequences that make old Transformer fans break down in tears wishing they had this kind of sophistication back in the 80's.
Cons: There is really no such thing as a single, independent episode. One must watch the beginning of the series (and even Beast Wars) to fully understand what is going on. Also, overall story moves along rather slowly with only 13 episodes once every Saturday
When first watching this new series, you may find yourself scratching your head wondering who and what these things that resemble a mutated lab animals experiment gone awry are. But that would just be the beginning of a barrage of questions which should...

"...you must tame the beast..."

by atara , Apr 27 '00
Pros: Some good character designs, neat plot twists
Cons: Lackluster storylines, very dark animation
Shortly after getting hooked on the Beast Wars cartoons, I discovered that the show was being canceled (or just retired). While I was still in my mourning period, I heard that the show would go on, in the form of the new show Beast...

Transformers Transformed

by Daystorm , Apr 22 '00
Pros: Pumping action, great animation and a STORYLINE
Cons: Goofy new transformation technique
The Transformers revolutionized toys back in the '80's. And they had a cool cartoon to go with it. It was pretty episodic, typical of the times. Just a quick hit each week of a relatively well animated, super-cool concept.

The story back...

They're Baaaaaaacckkkk.

by greentown70 , Jun 15 '00
Pros: Character dynamics, animation, and story plot
Cons: hidden religious messages
I'd like to offer you all some comments and concerns about the nature of Beast Machines. First, I'd like to say that, yes, I am one of those twenty -somethings that grew up with the original G1 Transformers and yes, I do feel a certain reason to pay...

Inner Peace and the Art of War

by markcrowley , Mar 30 '00
Pros: Good role models for kids
Cons: few number of episodes leads to overplay of reruns
In the 1980's Hasbro Toys teamed up with a japanese animation company to create a merchandising dream team. Their idea was to have toys that could change from battle-ready robots to innocent everyday items (i.e. cars, trucks, tape players, microscopes,...

Beast Machine Thoughts

by sentairick , Jan 09 '00
Pros: Great imagery, plot
Cons: New Episodes in September :P
as one of the other sites have mentioned, Transformers has stood the test of time as one of the better known cartoons available today. Being a member of the Optimus Prime generation, I sat and watched Beast Machines with a (hopefully) open mind. What do...

TRANSFORMERS THROUGH THE AGES

by ALPHA_WOLF , Apr 01 '00
Pros: All the great action and feel of the original transformers is in both new series. We have great heroes, good villians and a terrific heretige. The images are a great deal better than the original.
Cons: The viewers have to learn new names and at times it is hard to jump in on the story. Also it feels that the heroes will never win their battles
In the beginning, people created the Autobots and Decepticons. Then came the Maximals and Predicons. The history started with the Autobots and Decepticons emerging from a volcano in 1984 and battling all over and for Earth. After that, the battles went...

Beast Machines

by mypalalex , Jan 12 '00
Pros: incredible animation
Cons: no continuity in it's storyline
Wow, I think I've seen it all. Back in the 80s the Transformers revolutionized the action figure market with their kick-butt cartoon and action figures. I actually own videos, and still watch them, and still the great memories are relived. So now, here...

Transformers For The New Millenium?

by MGP , Jan 08 '00
Pros: Keeps you hooked and wanting more.
Cons: Lack of resemblance from the show to most of the characters' toy counterparts.
Sixteen years ago, a phenomena began that has stood the test of time and evolved to become one of the most watched programs on television. In 1984, Hasbro introduced a new toy line to the American public that became an instant hit with children...
