Pros: very amusing, combination of physical comedy and one liners Cons: some thing funny Nazis are in bad taste
Summary: Being an insomniac as a child is not fun. Being an insomniac with a mother determined to make you sleep at what she considers a reasonable hour is even less fun. Luckily my mother would fall asleep soon after she insisted I should go to bed, so I was ... read more

Pros: Funny, can be watched by the entire family Cons: None
Summary: Hogan's Heroes made it's debut on CBS in 1965, and I doubt that my dad missed more than an episode or two between it's premiere and the time it ended in 1971. Even the reruns were often watched in my home, where my father enjoyed it on a regular ... read more

Pros: Funny, good acting, very little sex, drugs or bad language Cons: Distorts historical truth.
Summary: This show is a Good versus Bad Fantasy/Comedy. It's not attempting to tell the truth about World War II or prisoner of war camps.
The acting and production are solid. The main characters have depth and the plots are interesting and funny.

Pros: Always good for a laugh. Even after all these years. Not even Lucy comes close. Cons: Should have been on two more seasons.
Summary: "Hogan's Heroes" since day one was the best comedy on TV. I've seen it from the first episode, through reruns, and Columbia House videos (soon to be on DVD). I'm still not tired of it.
Hogan's has the best writing, the best balance of ... read more

Pros: good story lines, very humorous Cons: none
Summary: A few weeks ago I was suffering from insomnia and decided to see if I could find something on TV to help me doze off. I channel-surfed for a few minutes, then was delighted to find Hogan's Heroes on TV Land.
I was immediately transported ... read more

Pros: Funny as hell, nice look at how our government wanted us to think about Nazis during WWII Cons: Silly and not realistic
Summary: Yes, Bing Crosby did more than croon and act in "Road" films with Bob Hope. Indeed, his company is responsible for bringing us Hogan's Heroes -- a tension-filled, powerful, gripping World War II drama.
The alleged ... read more

Pros: Sergeant Schultz Cons: Unrealistic
Summary: Hogan's Heroes was another childhood favorite but I didn't begin enjoying it until after it had been on the air for several years, as I was too young to understand or appreciate the humor of this show until the end of it's original run.

Pros: This show provided jobs for out of work un-talented actors Cons: No hot chicks for potential wank material
Summary: Nazis, Nazis, Nazis! And then just when you think you've had enough....MORE NAZIS! This has got to be the greatest premise ever created since identical cousins (how the hell does that work?). So anyways, you've got Hogan, the down and out American ... read more

Pros: Good movie for those who like old movies! Cons: Non for me but some others may not think it is not up to todays standards of movies.
Summary: As I was growing up I use to watch this wonderfully amusing movie. Even now my husband and I watch the reruns when they are on. Colonel Hogan and his group of soldiers really have to play dumb in this show. Colonel Klink really is a slow witted person. ... read more

Pros: "I see nothing" Cons: How much prison humor can you take?
Summary: Who would have thought - a comedy set in a prison camp? Those nutty Nazis!! I hate to use the word “campy” to describe this show (ha, ha), but that’s as good a word as any. This isn’t really a black comedy, although I always found it a bit depressing, ... read more

Pros: Nothing Cons: No Canadians in the POW camp
Summary: I was 10 when Hogan's Heroes first went on the air in 1965. Just the mear mention of the show brings back memories. The tunnels, the theme song, the opening credits, etc. It was not until years later I found out that the real meaning of the show - ... read more

Pros: funny Cons: poor taste
Summary: While I personally find Hogan's Heroes a laugh riot, does anyone else find it uncontrollably anti- something or other to depict comedy in a german prison camp? I realize the show is not located in Dachau and no one actually gets marched into an oven, ... read more

Pros: great fun Cons: unrealistic premise
Summary: This hilarious show will deliver many laughs as you watch loverboy Hogan and his bunch of tricksters; outwit Col. Klink, and the Gestapo. While, granted, this is not a real-life premise. We all know that POWs didn't did by with things like this; but I ... read more

Pros: funny, action packed, hysterical fixes for bad situations Cons: makes Germans look like idiots,Hogan is a real ladies man
Summary: This show is very funny and is appropriate for all ages. It takes a horrible situation and makes it funny. Even younger children that know nothing of the war that this comedy takes place in can enjoy the show. The situations that Hogan and his fellow ... read more

Pros: Took a look at the lighter side of the pain for it's time Cons: It moved to the classics as does everything
Summary: I feel that everything in life has a touch of humor to it.
If we sat and dwelled over past pains that our family and friends endured we would no doubt go insane.
I enjoyed laughing and watching many television shows that were based on something ... read more

Rated Show by the Epinions community Feb 8, 2005
Pros: The scripts; acting ability of entire staff, timing and comedy Cons: Hogan's Heroes was canceled much too soon
Summary: Our family immensely enjoyed Hogan's Heroes from it's great one-liners; outrageous plots, and the dramatic side which ascended the show ahead of its time. Back then we would get 20-25 minutes of show time which made it beyond fun and funny! Now with
