Pros: Incredible architecture, decor and facilities Cons: Lack of attention-to-detail
INTRODUCTION I stayed at the Millenium Biltmore Los Angeles for about a week on business. The Biltmore is a historic hotel (as hotels on the West Coast go - I've heard it said that 200 years ago is a long time in the US, while 200 miles is a ...

Pros: Grand restored 1923 hotel with notable interiors and athletic facilities Cons: Downtown LA can be a bit depressing
The Millenium Biltmore lights up an otherwise dismal area of downtown Los Angeles. Recent renovations have been completed since my stay there in 1998. I submit the following review with the hope that it may prove more useful than my previous effort....

Pros: Elegant lobby and public areas. Cons: Faded, not a good value. Horrible location.
Have you ever heard the term "rate integrity"? That's a term used in the hotel industry where the hotel managers wish they have higher occupancy, but because they don't they turn to online booking companies and services like Priceline, to blow out hotel ...

Pros: Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, gracious old hotel Cons: I could get used to being treated like this
In March I had the chance to stay at the Regal Biltmore when I was in LA for a conference.
When you first see this hotel, it doesn't look like it would be very good. It's in the heart of the downtown area, with lots of small businesses...

Pros: Great exterior and beautiful lobby, courteous and quick valet, comfortable room. Cons: Small room and nothing fancy about it.
Off the bat, I thought I was getting a great deal because I paid $99 for a hotel room at the Biltmore on a popular online travel service. This price did not include valet parking of course but I thought, how many chances do I get to stay at a nice hotel...

Pros: Convenient location, close to area attractions. Cons: Small rooms, disappointing features.
I recently stayed at the Regal Biltmore with my fiance over my birthday weekend. Considering that the Biltmore is supposed to be a four star hotel I thought the price that I was paying through one of the on-line travel services was a really good deal. ...

Pros: Its difficult to think of any pros which says something about this hotel Cons: hotel was dirty, not safe, rude employees, not worth the money
I just wish that I had known what a terrible hotel this was before I made the reservations and checked in. I have spent the same amount while visiting California at beach front hotels which had incredible service, beautiful rooms, and romantic ...

Pros: luxurious hotel in convenient location downtown. Most excellent romantic bar from days gone by. Cons: It is not a good idea to walk around the area at night.
This is one of my favourite hotels. It has a feeling of glamour and history from the days of Hollywood. The decor is fascinating with the different ball rooms and elegant lobbies with beautiful tropical plants in exotic pots. The restaurants are...

Overpriced, inconvenient
by grrroundhog ,Jan 26 '07
Pros: Nice architecture and snob appeal, if that's your thing. Cons: Functionally, it's an overpriced Motel 6.
Rooms are small and old. Internet access is unreliable and expensive ($10/day on your own computer or $1/minute at the "business center"). As if the rooms weren't expensive enough, there is a fee for EVERYTHING. Parking is expensive. Rooms service is overpriced. A burger and a salad cost me more than $50, including mandatory 15% gratuity and $3.50 room service fee. The hotel is located in the middle of downtown, which is great for walking to nearby banks and corporate headquarters, but not close to anything recreational.
